We won't get ahead of ourselves and assume every installment in this revival will be as impressive, but even if future installments are a step down in quality, it'll still be more compelling than most other sci-fi and horror titles out there. Read Full Review
The only cruel thing about this series, apart from the title, is that it is currently scheduled to run for only five issues. I want more! If you enjoy vintage science fiction, you will love Cruel Universe #1. The new Golden Age starts here! Read Full Review

This book from story one through story four holds the reader's interest. The concept of stories that all end with a "wicked twist is also super cool. The first story was beautiful.
I'm not usually big on anthology books like this. I always feel disappointed the stories are so short. This book still left me wanting more, but in a good way. All the stories had value and my favorite was the Space Ship one and the Fountain of Youth one. I really enjoyed this.
Great start for this anthology series. The first two stories were excellent.
