AVENGERS #15 is the reason you should be reading this series. Jason Aaron pulls out some of his best storytelling yet, and David Marquez and Erick Arciniega deliver pitch-perfect pages, front to back. This is likely the best issue of Aaron's AVENGERS yet.

Jason Aaron has given us one of the best Avengers arcs in recent history. AVENGERS #17 is an explosive finale to a stellar arc. Coupled with Marquez and Arciniega's artwork, this is one issue you cannot miss.

It's not over-selling it to say that this is one of the greatest single issues of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN to date. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #800 succeeds on just about every level.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #17 proves that "Hunted" is a story no Spider-Man fan should miss. The build up was perfect, and now the arc itself looks to make good on all that hype. Nick Spencer delivers his most gripping Spidey tale yet, while Ramos, Delgado, and Olazaba pull you in with their pitch-perfect pages.

AVENGERS #13 succeeds in its depiction of a uniquely tragic origin story. Aaron's storytelling is masterful, and I'm absolutely hooked now on these prehistoric Avenger stories. And Andrea Sorrentino completely nails the artistic side of things. Don't miss this issue.

This is AVENGERS at its best. Jason Aaron masterfully balances action, plot progression, and character development all in AVENGERS #16. David Marquez and Erick Arciniega once again deliver superbly beautiful artwork. There's nothing not to like.

AVENGERS #19 comes is a surprise issue. Aaron has little to no trouble evolving the character of Gorilla-Man and making us care about him. Not to mention, the WAR OF THE REALMS tie-in aspect of this issue is flawless. On top of all that, you get to look at pitch-perfect pages from McGuinness, Ponsor, and Arciniega all day long. What's not to love?

This is probably one of the best issues of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: RENEW YOUR VOWS. The story helps to move the Spider-Family forward, and the art is some of the best from the artistic team.

AVENGERS #9 may just be the first Namor-themed comic I can actually get behind. I've never been much of a fan, but I'll be damned if I didn't admit Jason Aaron is changing my mind.

OBLIVION SONG #1 builds the foundation for what will undoubtedly be a beautiful series. There's a great deal of promise in this series, and I look forward to seeing it continue for a long, long time.

WEST COAST AVENGERS #7 is a significant improvement over #6. Not only that, but it's also probably one of the best issues in the series thus far. Between the sharp storytelling and the gorgeous artwork, there's nothing not to like.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #10 succeeds in its usage and evaluation of Mary Jane and Black Cat. These are two characters who have been absent from the Spider-Man scene for a while. It's great to see Nick Spencer give them their due.

AVENGERS #7 will quickly grip you with the story of the first Ghost Rider. It's a genuinely sincere tale, one that perfectly paints a picture of who this prehistoric hero was.

Jason Aaron does a great job balancing the scope of this new story and the presence of his new villains. The Shadow Colonel is already a great villain. And David Marquez and Justin Ponsor deliver nothing but the best with their glorious pages.

FANTASTIC FOUR #4 has tons of heart, wit, and creativity. The Fantastix are a fun -- if ineffectual -- foil to the Fantastic Four. On top of that, we gets tons of sincere family moments from the team.

Dan Slott manages to easily infuse FANTASTIC FOUR #7 with both character and tension. He strikes a near-perfect balance between the two. And Aaron Kuder's artwork, coupled with Marte Gracia and Rachelle Rosenburg's colors, looks better than ever.

WEST COAST AVENGERS #4 cements this series as one of Marvel's top books right now. There's very little to hate here. If you're not reading this series already, you really need to start.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #2 is an incredible continuation of Nick Spencer's run. His solid storytelling is matched perfectly by the fantastic work from the artistic team. It's really hard for me to find anything negative to say about this book.

Nick Spencer took some worthwhile chances with this arc. It's turned out to be a very needed reevaluation of Spider-Man, as well as a perfect way to debut artist Ryan Ottley at Marvel.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #11 succeeds all around in telling a humorous story and reintegrating J. Jonah Jameson into AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.

AVENGERS #8 is features simplistic, yet extremely important and artful storytelling, along with some incredible pages. It's issues like this that remind me why I love the Avengers so much.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #698 is a great start to the "Man Out of Time" arc. It sets the stakes and the playing field, informs you of all the players, and gets you excited for the battle to come.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 is a great start to this new chapter for the Sentinel of Liberty. It sets up numerous compelling plot points that should be fun to see play out in the future.

Chip Zdarsky delivers a compelling and brutal beginning with DAREDEVIL #1, despite a little borrowing from the show. And Marco Checchetto and Sunny Gho's artwork will leave you floored.

There's a lot to enjoy in INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #600. The pacing of the story and variety of content should keep most readers pleased, but is likely to push others away. All in all, though, it's a successful milestone, and a great final issue for Brian Michael Bendis at Marvel Comics.

OBLIVION SONG #2 builds upon everything introduced in OBLIVION SONG #1. The plot moves along in a smooth, character-driven way. I'm eager to see what theories fans come up with after this issue because there's a lot to speculate about.

WAR OF THE REALMS #3 is as exhilarating as it is gorgeous. Aaron's fast-paced writing, coupled with Dauterman and Wilson's beautiful pages, make this the strongest issue of the massive crossover event so far.

WEST COAST AVENGERS #2 continues to prove why truly strange and undeniably fun series just work. The creativity of Thompson, Caselli, and Farrell continues to shine.

WEST COAST AVENGERS #3 continues to prove why this series is arguably Marvel's most entertaining at the moment. It's full of heart, nonstop fun, great characters, and superb artwork.

Kelly Thompson has outdone herself with WEST COAST AVENGERS #8. It's the most fun I've had with this series thus far. And Gang Hyuk Lim pretty much just took the title of best artist on this series.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #797 finally gets the ball rolling for "Go Down Swinging," and it's in the best ways possible. Norman Osborn has never been more terrifying.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #799 is easily the best issue of the "Go Down Swinging" arc thus far. It's filled with some incredible action, and does a great job of highlighting the villain.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 covers all the bases in the best ways possible. This issue has got me truly excited for what's to come from Nick Spencer.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #7 isn't just a great Spidey issue, it's a great Boomerang issue. The interactions between Pete and Fred are key, and the build-up surrounding this new villain are to die for!

Setting up an event story is a careful process. You can't give the reader all the details; you have to leave them guessing. Nick Spencer understands this process to a tee. And Ryan Ottley's artwork works in tandem with Spencer's storytelling to keep things moving smoothly.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #18 brings even more tension and suspense into a story already filled with the stuff. Spencer knows exactly how to keep you on your toes. And Ramos and Delgado deliver the quality pages you should expect from them.

Focusing on Mary Jane was a great idea for this issue. Her character progresses a lot, and it's all matched very well with moments of humor and action.

Marvel's been doing a pretty good job with their milestone issues lately. AVENGERS #10/#700 is no exception. This issue uses every page to its advantage, telling an interesting story, building more into the fictional world, and just being downright fun to read.

AVENGERS #11 succeeds in that it takes the time to build on multiple facets in play in Aaron's story. Which is definitely required, following the events of AVENGERS #10. And not only does everything read well, but it all looks fantastic to boot.

FANTASTIC FOUR #1 may not give us the family reunion we've been waiting for, but there's still so much here to love. This issue tells a great story, features some amazing artwork, and gives us a lot to look forward to.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #6 continues to prove that Nick Spencer's direction for the character is something to embrace, not shun. I love this freer Peter Parker, and the antics of this issue are extremely fun to watch. Plus, it's got art from Humberto Ramos. What's not to love?

Though it's not a flawless milestone, CAPTAIN AMERICA #700 is a fantastic issue, and a great summary of all the things that make Captain America such a great hero.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #19 appears to have a simple visage, but the opposite is true. This is easily one of the more intricate issues of the "Hunted" arc. Nick Spencer has great skill when it comes to crafting a gripping plot like this. And when you couple his work with the pages from Sandoval, Delgado, and Arciniega, there's lots to love.

Though AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #20 gives us some answers, it also leaves us with a few more questions. There's enough drama and tension to keep you hooked, for sure. If that's not enough, then the art should definitely seal the deal.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: RENEW YOUR VOWS #13 is a fresh and reinvigorating installment for what was already an extremely fun series.

OBLIVION SONG #4 works wonders in terms of pushing the story forward and continuing to build up the world and its characters. This is probably the strongest issue of the series thus far.

WEST COAST AVENGERS doesn't do too much to move the story forward or build the characters, but what it gives us is nothing to pass up. It's sufficient and entertaining enough that this can still be called a very good issue.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #8 shines in how it establishes a new villainous gang and how it pulls Spidey back into the larger Marvel Universe. New material like this is what's helping Nick Spencer's run with the character excel. Here's hoping we get more of it.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #14 saves itself from being just another typical filler issue thanks to Spencer's creative character development and Bachalo's insane pages. I wouldn't recommend skipping this one; it'll undoubtedly have importance down the line.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #801 is an amazing finale for what's been an amazing 10 years of Spider-Man. Though it may seem underwhelming at first, it's easy to tell Dan Slott put his all into his final AMAZING SPIDER-MAN issue, and it definitely shows.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #3 is... weird, to say the least. It's definitely a good issue. It moves the story forward in a very creative way. I just hope this doesn't all come tumbling down on top of Spencer.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #4 really drives home the point of how dangerous it is to have a Spider-Man without his sense of responsibility. Spencer does a great job writing this, and Ottley and the artistic team do a stellar job of presenting it.

While "Hunted" as been pretty hit-or-miss, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #22 delivers the ending this arc needed. This is Kraven the Hunter at his finest. Spencer breaks the character down and gives meaning to his madness, while Ramos, Delgado, and Arciniega capture all the action with mixed results.

AVENGERS #6 delivers an epic finale to what has been an utterly epic first arc. Between Jason Aaron's dynamic storytelling and Ed McGuinness and Paco Medina's stellar pages, AVENGERS #6 completely succeeds as both a solo issue and a conclusion to a full arc.

Though the pace is a bit uneven, this is still a great issue. Waid, Samnee, and Wilson ultimately continue to impress.

Though it may seem like a straightforward finale, CAPTAIN AMERICA #704 is undoubtedly a strong conclusion to what's been a fun, unique Captain America arc.

FANTASTIC FOUR #2 works so well at accomplishing its goals. It lets us know what the Future Foundation's been up to these past few years, as well as introduce us to a new villain in a powerful way.

Though FANTASTIC FOUR #3 skimps on the villain a bit, and has some artistic hiccups, it's all well worth it to finally have Marvel's first family reunited!

WEST COAST AVENGERS #9 is kept afloat thanks to its impactful development of Ramone and its outstanding pages. Thompson keeps the story flowing in an energetic manner, and Lim's pages match that tone through and through.

The slow march towards "Go Down Swinging" continues in a good way with AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #795. Slott and Gage understand the art of building up an event. All of this will make the payoff so much better.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #9 keeps things interesting by reuniting Spider-Man and Black Cat, and also picking up a new story thread for MJ. Here's hoping all of these stories play out in meaningful ways.

Though AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #12 doesn't do a lot to move the relationship between Spidey and Jameson forward, it's still an entertaining read, with tons of fantastic artwork to lift the whole thing up.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #15 excels in highlighting certain characters and building towards what comes next. Nick Spencer's attention to detail is superb, and Chris Bachalo's artwork is as great as ever.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #702 definitely improves upon what was started in #701. The story feels more accessible now, and the world just keeps growing more and more entertaining.

FANTASTIC FOUR #6 has a very classical feel to it, especially for a Fantastic Four issue. It's filled with explosive action and features some of the best Fantastic Four villains. That's certainly enough to forgive a few artistic hiccups.

OBLIVION SONG #5 doesn't do much to move the story forward, but it certainly works to further develop every one of the characters. It's definitely worth checking out.

SENTRY #1 is a great reintroduction to the character of Robert Reynolds. This deep dive into his world is already proving to be completely insane, and I'm eager to read more.

WAR OF THE REALMS #4 helps Marvel's latest event gain some speed, but it doesn't do enough to deepen the story as a whole. Aaron's storytelling is still sharp, just not quite fulfilling here. Luckily, Dauterman and Wilson have no problem delivering outstanding pages.

Though some of the thrill of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #798 is lost behind the hero's mask, the horror of the Red Goblin is ever-present. There's no telling where this story will go next, and that's definitely a good thing.

Though CAPTAIN AMERICA #701 may not be for everyone, there's a lot here to hold your interest. The story of Jack Rogers is definitely worth checking out. And if you don't want to check out the story, then at least check out the art.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #21 continues "Hunted" in a gritty fashion. Despite how cleanly it dives into Kraven's mindset, it still feels jarring and disconnected. On a more positive note, though, there's more than enough beautiful art here to keep you interested.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: RENEW YOUR VOWS #16 takes another big step forward in the lives of the Parker family. Though it's a little slow, it is, overall, a very enjoyable read.

AVENGERS #12 might not feel like much, but I'm sure it'll prove to be an important issue down the line. Establishing this new support structure for the Avengers was a smart creative decision by Aaron.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #2 seems to reuse the storytelling model from CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 a bit too much and definitely has a fair amount of artistic hiccups. However, it's still a solid continuation of this new chapter for Steve Rogers.

Though it's lacking in focus, WEST COAST AVENGERS #6 is nonetheless a fun, worthwhile read, with tons of flashy artwork to keep your eyes glued to the pages.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #796 gives you mostly more of the same as the previous two issues. But that's okay, because the payoff is going to be so worth it once "Go Down Swinging" begins.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: RENEW YOUR VOWS #18 plays with a bothersome cliche, but ultimately, it succeeds in concluding what has been an enjoyable arc.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #703 does a solid job of keeping you interested, but the series is showing some fatigue. You may walk away feeling like nothing substantial really happened in this issue.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #3 is an entertaining read, to an extent. Frankly, the story is already lagging a bit. It's a little too early for that, and fantastic art can only carry a story so far.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #4 is a good effort to push the story forward, but Ta-Nehisi Coates needs to spend less time in Steve's head and more time in the world. The story needs to move.

FANTASTIC FOUR #8 has a consistently evil and classic feel to it, but at what cost? Dan Slott is seemingly aiming to undo all the progress Doom has made in recent years, which feels like a failure to me. On the upside, at least this issue looks good, thanks to the artistic team.

The beautiful pages of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #794 don't excuse it from being an issue of filler. You'll likely be left wanting more of the side plot by the end, but it's meant to leave you craving future stories.

FANTASTIC FOUR #9 concludes what has been a fairly uninspired arc. Dr. Doom's return to villainy, though fun at first, was a poor choice for the character. Nothing really changed for any of these characters. And though the artwork is fun to look at, it is equally as uninspired as the story.

FANTASTIC FOUR #10 is, above all else, an annoying issue to read. The dialogue and pacing are all over the place, and any central character arcs feel rushed and insignificant. The artwork is the most redeeming quality of this issue, but even that can't save it entirely.

WINTER SOLDIER #1 sets up an interesting premise for Bucky, but it does so with the least amount of originality. The art feels wildly inconsistent, though it may still be the most redeeming factor of the issue. I'm hoping for something better during round two.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite CAPTAIN AMERICA runs, and we're only on the second issue of it. Waid, Samnee, and Wilson nailed this issue. I'm eager to see what comes next.
