CITY OF EVILS BEGINS!
• Turns out not EVERYONE is happy the good guys have gotten the band back together again in the form of an all-new West Coast Avengers. Some villains were actually pretty pleased with the status quo, and they've got creative ideas about an UN-welcoming party to rectify the situation.
• Double Hawkeyes, America Chavez, Quentin Quire, Gwenpool and Fuse find themselves caught in a not-so-amusing amusement park, where the other attendees are, well, mostly villains looking to take them out. Super fun!
• Artist Daniele Di Nicuolo (Power Rangers: Shattered Grid) joins more
I'm glad for what happens in this issue because it truly felt necessary. A comedy series like this needs that emotional shake up every so often to allow the reader to gain insight into the characters' personalities. Otherwise, the characters would have felt like they lacked depth and were at best caricatures. Read Full Review
West Coast Avengers is a rare breed right now. Not only is it a team book, but its a team book that actually invests in its characters and has personal drama. That already makes WCA worth looking into, but Thompson has some real magic in her dialogue and a knack for personal drama without dragging the book down. This is one of the few comics that is always worth your purchasing dollar, and this is a great issue to check out if youve not read the book before. Read Full Review
WEST COAST AVENGERS doesn't do too much to move the story forward or build the characters, but what it gives us is nothing to pass up. It's sufficient and entertaining enough that this can still be called a very good issue. Read Full Review

More laid back and less action-filled than earlier issues, Thompson's strength still lies in her tight characterization and dialogue. Read Full Review

What's next?
I really in love with this team. It's fun, smart and enjoyable. The interaction between characters are really good, even if Gwen & quentin start to annoy me with their "love/hate" relation.
Cover - I love it and this is in link. 2/2
Writing - It was very well written. 3/3
Arts - The art are as fun & the layout is good. 3/3
Feeling - My favorite avengers ongoing. 2/2
Really great issue. There's a good explanation for Gwenpool's powers and her romance with Quentin. The team dynamics are on-point. They feel like they're a team instead of a bunch of characters that were crammed together onto a team. This issue also picks up some plot points from Hawkeye, which is a bonus for people who read that.
I can’t say enough about this series because it truly is awesome. I hope Thompson stays on this book for years to come and West Coast Avengers is easily a better series than Aaron’s Avengers and probably even Zub’s Champions at this point. Read it.
Haha shut up don’t judge me.
Fine issue. One thing that bothered me was how frequently faces were obscured by something. I had to constantly tilt my comic against the light to read their faces more clearly.
