Pray to All-Mother Freyja! For in her hands lies the key to ending Malekith's war. The Black Bifrost - the only method of travel for Malekith's vast armies - must fall. Even with the Punisher, Ghost Rider, Blade and Hulk (Jen Walters) at Freyja's side, how many Dark Elves can one goddess kill? While Freyja's team heads for the swamps of Svartalfheim, Captain America's rescue mission in Jotunheim faces the wrath of giants, Captain Marvel leads a global assault team against Malekith's allies and the Black Panther defends Avengers Mountain against a siege of mythic proportion. None of them know that Malekith has a secret weapon. And its bite wilmore
I am happy, and a little shocked, to report that I cannot find any reason for anybody to drop this event from their pull list. Read Full Review
This story is far from over and yet, it's already sequential storytelling at its best. Read Full Review

"War of the Realms" #4 proves that this series is the gold standard for epic mega super comic book Event storytelling. Read Full Review
Jason Aaron is a masterful storyteller that once again proves the stage isnt too big for him to handle a full scale, company-wide event crossing years of his THOR run. Dautermans art is vigorous, spirited, powerful and shows depth within each scene. This issue is a must read moving forward in the series, as well as the characters of Venom, Thor, and the Avengers. If the issue focused more on the battle at Svartalfheim, this reviewer probably would have given the issue a 9 or higher. That said, it was still a fantastic read! Read Full Review
WAR OF THE REALMS is highly entertaining on the biggest scale possible. Read Full Review
WAR OF THE REALMS #4 helps Marvel's latest event gain some speed, but it doesn't do enough to deepen the story as a whole. Aaron's storytelling is still sharp, just not quite fulfilling here. Luckily, Dauterman and Wilson have no problem delivering outstanding pages. Read Full Review
The War of The Realms #4 is another kick-ass read. Aaron's heavy metal writing combined with Dauterman's stunning artwork makes for an action packed and wild big event issue. The War of The Realms #4 is pure fun in the form of violent action and bad-ass moments that would make a 1980's action movie jealous. If you have skipped on The War of The Realms then you definitely need to go buy this big event when it comes out in trade format. It is well worth your money. Read Full Review

A fun and energetic issue of War of the Realms injects some much-needed gravitas, while mostly just telling an engaging story. Read Full Review
With fantastic art and superficial storytelling charms, War of the Realms #4 delivers more of the same. Read Full Review
Aaron and Dauterman have been a hell of a duo elsewhere, but War of the Realms continues to limp along with an event that's better concepts than execution. The issue feels rushed and slapped together. The event isn't being given the life it needs to breathe and stand out. As the climactic chapter of the story Aaron has been weaving for years, War of the Realms seems to be going out not with a bang but with a whimper. Read Full Review
No words for this amazing book!
This is an amazing book !
This issue was really great!
In my opinion, War of the Realms 4 has been the best issue of the entire event besides issue 1. Dauterman’s art is absolutely perfect. The scenes with Odin and Freyja fighting until the end are tremendous and tragic, as they accomplish their mission with the loss of their lives. Most of this issue revolves around the Avengers recruiting Malekith’s enemies from across the other 9 Realms. War of the Realms is a bundle of eye candy with excellent and emotional action, and I love it. Malekith using Venom as his necrosword makes him all the more powerful and it looks like Thor is the only one who can stop him. Good thing he is back, then. War of the Realms has shaped up to be a worthy conclusion to Aaron’s Thor run
At tremendous cost, the heroes regroup and reinforce and set themselves to defeat Malekith's armies on Midgard. All the Bifrosts are shattered. Odin and Freyja are MIA, as is Malekith. But Thor lives and stands ready to lead. Solid plotting and nice character details -- #4 features a welcome burst of focus after the far-ranging "survey" tone of #3.
Everything feels really tied together and meaningful, I like it!
"Kiss me now, you old fool!" Damn it, Odin being an Iron-Man is something I would have NEVER even imagined. I am loving this book.
How romantic!
A bit lost but I think if I had all the tie ins it would help make sense of this Venom bit...seeing Thors parents come together like that was a great moment considering I could normally care less for these characters. A bit chaotic but still a great event
I'm really enjoying this book right now. It just works without trying to hard. Im really impressed and I didnt think I was going to like it before it all started.
