Mari McCabe aka Vixen has joined the Birds of Prey to help them get to the bottom of the mysterious villain hunting them through time. But first Mari has a fashionably dangerous problem of her own that needs solving. You scratch my back, I scratch yours, never looked so good.
Why must you insist on doing this to me? I'm already a fan, people! There's no need to keep hitting me with amazing cliffhangers to keep my attention. Honestly, WHY?!? How can you keep doing this to your loyal and beloved readers?! Read Full Review
With the help of Jordie Bellaire's excellent-as-ever colors, guest artists Javier Pina and David Lopez perfectly deliver the brevity, sexiness, and goofiness needed for this story. Once again, Birds of Prey is an absolute knockout. Read Full Review
Hilarity and hijinks ensues as the Birds find themselves elbow deep into a fight with an army of evil shapeshifting beefcakes! Its this type of tongue in cheek take that Thompsons using that makes this book a must read every month. I cant wait to see what that wonderfully deranged mind comes up with next! Read Full Review
. There are so many mysteries surrounding this book, particularly when it comes to wild-card from the future Meridian, that it's easily one of my most anticipated books from DC every month. Read Full Review

After an improvement last issue, Birds of Prey #8 slides backwards. The tone isn't right, the plot feels forced and the mystery isn't playing out in an interesting manner. Putting Barbara Gordon in danger has been done before, and done better- "The Hunt for Oracle. Thompson still doesn't seem to get what makes Birds of Prey work as a concept. The time travel works against it, the lack of character focus is missingat least the art in this issue is nice. Read Full Review
Birds Of Prey #8 is a confused, chaotic mess of a comic from beginning to end. Even the Birds Of Prey don't know what they're doing, why they're in this situation, or what's happening. I predicted the BoP was not in capable hands, and unfortunately, that prediction has come true. Read Full Review
I've been really disappointed by these past two issues. I hope it picks up again and we start having a stronger balance between the comedy and serious elements. I want the art to be bold and the characters to be more than just the writer's punchlines. I'd honestly say avoid this series until further notice. This is tough! The ending is so aggressively dumb and obnoxious, but most of the issue was really channeling Gail Simone in a good way. This book has the voice and the vibe now, but the storytelling still needs to catch up.
This arc isnt as engaging as the first arc, but I will reserve my judgement for the rest of this arc.
I really like Kelly Thompson but this book is ruff. Don't understand all the love this book's getting.
