Selina Kyle does not know why the attempt on her life was made, nor does she know who ordered it. As she desperately searches for clues as to who has suddenly orchestrated this lethal manhunt against her, one thing becomes abundantly clear: the answers don't lie in her life as the Catwoman of Gotham City. To save her own life, Selina Kyle must re-enter the world of a sinister international syndicate that years ago helped to transform her into the world's foremost thief. A tale of identity, broken alliances, and pulse-pounding action begins here!
There isn't enough in this first issue to get a firm view of how this run is going to play out, but it seems the creative team has a solid grasp on Selina Kyle as a character and is bringing her back to her roots as Gotham's grittiest antihero. Read Full Review
Catwoman #69 is a refreshing start to a new story line. We can see a sinister force angling to mess with our hero, whilst the enchanting artwork captures reader's attention every single time. This creative team has come out swinging on their first run with Catwoman, and I am eager to see where the story will go from here! Read Full Review
Going into this issue relatively blind was certainly an eye-opener as I was able to enjoy the story on offer despite having a few issues with it. As a jumping-on point, it does everything right to hook a new reader, however, similarities in structure to past stories might make this appeal less to more experienced ones. Starting out her run with a slow burn and haunting mood, punctuated by bursts of terrifying violence, Torunn Gronbekk and Fabiana Mascolo give Selina a globe-trotting mystery to solve with Catwoman #69 that promises thrills and emotions galore. Read Full Review
This felt like a return of a very dear old friend. The sumptuous art and the inner monologue that told and made so many past and future threads. As a jumping on point it serves a purpose but as a return to the absolute best of what makes Selina tick then this ticks all my boxes for a cracking story..........JM
Yes, this is how you tell a Selina story
Finally, Tini Howard is through ruining this title. I like Thorunn's run on Red Sonja, so I was hoping this would be good. It has a decent start. We have a mystery of someone killing off Selena's aliases. Keeping my fingers crosses that Catwoman is back.

The art is excellent, and the story shows promise, but I never quite feel like anyone writing Selina since Brubaker manages to do anything interesting for more than six months. So who knows where this might go? But Gronbekk showed promise with Jane Foster, so this could be worth the time.
