"Trial of Two Cities" part three! Green Arrow... treasure hunter?! Oliver must race to recover the sunken treasure of the Ninth Circle with his enemies hot on his trail. But the true threat might be one he never sees coming!
RATED T+
I love how Percy keeps challenging expectations for the book and making it work. Green Arrow underwater is a very different premise that pays off. Green Arrow continues to be one of Rebirth's most rewarding reads. Read Full Review
This is a great setup, and a great issue. Read Full Review
This series has a great ensemble working for it, and Percy seems to be getting stronger with characters every issue. I wouldn't mind if after this mega-arc is over, he got to slow down and let the characters relax a bit. Read Full Review
Despite a lack of action and minimal plot advancement, Green Arrow #35 does entertain and introduces some intriguing plot developments. The coming trial of Oliver Queen should be a good story, and Juan Ferreyras beautiful artwork helps bolster the comic, giving some solid visual storytelling to make up for where the written narrative may waver. I recommend this one. Give it a read. Read Full Review
Im oftenaccused of being a grumpy old man who long for comics to be as they were in mychildhood. I wont argue, but this issue does feature Green Arrow, in fullcostume and mask, piloting a submersible. Im uncertain who he expects toencounter beneath the sea that he feels the need to hide his identity. But likeFerreyras long-term commitment, I find such silliness both campy andcomforting. Ben Percy shows us that Oliver must save himself so he can save the corruption that is Star City. Juan Ferreyra's art is outstanding and while the story still doesn't move forward much, it's a good setup for what's to come. Read Full Review
This is an okay issue. The art is gorgeous and the issue is worth reading for Ferreyra's work; it's stunning. There are some interesting ideas and themes that work for me. And there are some small character beats that are exceptional. But the issue doesn't hold my attention and I'm still waiting for the Moira story to grab me in some way. Read Full Review
At least Juan Ferreyra's artwork is still amazing but there's only so much junk plotting I can tolerate in the name of good art. Read Full Review
In yet another slog of an issue, the first monthly issue of GREEN ARROW does little but show you that Percy still gave in a script for a biweekly story. Nothing really happens save for the final few pages, and even they don't do much to peak my interest. Read Full Review
Too little going on with the story, too much going on with the artwork. I'm not going to crucify the issue as terrible, but it's a safe bet to assume this won't end up as a collectible. Read Full Review
