A fantastic thrill ride, up with the best of the series. Read Full Review
An action-packed, wild penultimate chapter to an already wild crossover. Bring on the finale! Read Full Review
Cave Carson Has a Cybernetic Eye/Swamp Thing Special #1 is a comic that definitely leaves me thinking. It is ponderous about its own creation in a way few other comics are, but its still unclear if Milk Wars can stick a good landing with this self-reference. That aside, this particular issue has enough charm and fun to carry itself as a standalone product. The art is solid too, and this comic earns a recommendation. Check it out. Read Full Review
Reading this issue is an unusual experience for a number of reasons, not least of which being that this is the first chapter of Cave Carson not drawn by artist Michael Avon Oeming. Tonally, that results in a much different story, though Langdon Foss' absurdist approach does suit the corporate office setting. Read Full Review
Cave Carson/Swamp Thing Specialis a tiny bit office drone satire with a portion of DC "mature readers" body horror and is mostly a damn fun caper from Jon Rivera, Langdon Foss, and Nick Filardi. It's gross, thrilling, and thought provoking (Sometimes all at once.) and provides a segue to the "Milk Wars" finale without taking up too much space from this adventure. Read Full Review
The ball is rolling to the end! Cave and Swampy are almost to "the boss!" The finale comes next week as Cave's Eye has summoned the rest of the Young Animal characters and the Justice League of America to the fight. But, don't miss Part IV to see how they've gotten there, this is the most important issue of "Milk Wars" in terms of plot movement, plus it has Cave Carson! Read Full Review
It's a blast. It doesn't quite go all in on the thematics the way its predecessor did, but I think doing so would have felt false given the action-based nature of Rivera's take on Cave. Milk Wars continues to be the one of the most impressive crossovers of recent memory. Read Full Review
The issue drags a bit here and there, with those minor pacing issues likely caused by the "secret" coming out too soon without sufficient obstacles between our heroes and solving the mystery. Because of this, the back half feels a bit padded, but it is overall a great read. Read Full Review
Our journey through the milk-infused realities of Retconn continue, and it's starting to smell a little sour. The artwork, while adept, doesn't marry to the story's tone, and the narrative is littered with padding. Still, it can be understood from start to finish, which puts this issue in rare company for "Milk Wars." Read Full Review
Overall, Cave Carson has a Cybernetic Eye/ Swamp Thing #1 is as fun as the other Milk Wars tie-ins have been. The groundwork for an amazing DC event has been placed carefully and cemented with unpredictable (and sometimes gross) setups for each of the major players. I was not as glued to the page with this issue as I was with the first three, but it is none the less necessary to properly set the stage for what is to come. Read Full Review
An interesting take on the art, but Millar's story feels like it's trying too hard to hit all the hardcore buttons at once. Read Full Review
Surprisingly better than the Mother Panic / Batman & the Shade / Wonder Woman. Maybe because this time both heroes work together & not one against the other. I really like this story. I wondered if Cave have lactose intolerance ^^ but no. He had a plan. And a very good one. I little worried for him with the end. I didn't regret choosing ordering his next ongoing. That even make me the need to take the TPB of his previous ongoing ^^ . I laugh at the Smoke part ^^ ...
