Cyborg, Starfire, Green Lantern Jessica Cruz and Azrael debate whether so-called "God of Evil" Darkseid should have joined the team. (Too late-that evil horse has left the barn!) But before the team can resolve this conflict, they're forced into action when Vril Dox takes an interest in the Coluan refugees, attacking their ship with a new Manhunter...
This was average, but it's such a waste too. They basically made this another Hal Jordan book for the final arc, meaning that we really didn't get our last goodbyes with the Green Lanterns we've been focusing on for the majority of the run. And that blows. This issue felt rushed when other issues in this arc felt like they were purposefully avoiding plot progression. Pacing during this arc was jusmore

The KGBeast isn't working alone. As the Cold War between Batman and the Russian killer heats up, Batman's nose for mystery gets to twitching when he suspects there's more to the KGBeast's attacks than initially thought. Not only does this tie back to the court case Bruce Wayne sat on involving Mr. Freeze, there's another villainous Gotham ghoul in ...
Long time lurker here and I created my account just to review this. I’ve been bored by DC over the past several months but curious enough to pick this up. It’s different, compelling and enough of a mystery to keep me wanting more. I loved it and I’m pretty sure at least one of the characters who’s “dead” won’t turn out to be that way...but just a guess. The sucky reviews are either wmore

Stephen Rainmaker was the most dangerous man John Lynch knew even before he was inducted into the Thunderbook program. So much so that nobody could quite define how Thunderbook changed him. On his trip around America to warn his old team, Lynch left Rainmaker until last- for a reason. This is the visit that Lynch always knew could kill him. Meanwhi...
Really enjoyed this whole issue. The twist/reveal was really interesting... but is also going to be really difficult to explain in a satisfying way. I'm interested to see if they can make it work in the final issue (and I hope they do).
If there's one thing popular fiction has taught us by now, it's: never make a deal with the devil! And yet Mister Miracle is still listening when Darkseid approaches him with just such a devilish proposition-if Scott sends his newborn son to Apokolips, there will be peace on New Genesis. Since when has Darkseid been famous for his honesty?! It'll b...

"Cold Days" continues! The jury in the Mr. Freeze trial is hopelessly deadlocked because one man won't vote guilty-and that man is Bruce Wayne. Freeze's defense is that Batman used excessive force, making his arrest illegal, and Bruce is the one man who actually knows for sure what went down between Batman and his ice-cold nemesis. And if Bruce is ...
Love this issue. Weeks and King pulled off the perfect epilogue to the wedding. To see Batman this way has really surprised me and I love what king is doing because we all can relate to this arc. Everyone has had there heart broken and has to find themselves all over again. So hats off to king he killed it.

WOW. I'm practically speechless. I think that was the most perfect issue of a Batman comic I've ever read in my life. That was a perfect comic book. I almost regret giving any other comic a 10 because if anything else got a 10 this issue deserves an 11. WOW.

A satisfying end to a long, fun run from Venditti. I'm really glad that Sandoval drew this last issue; he's been my favorite artist of the run, by far.
This. Is. It! It's an extra-sized anniversary celebration, and one of the biggest battles the Green Lantern Corps has ever fought to mark the occasion. John Stewart issues a dramatic order: no lethal force! The Green Lanterns need to prove they can keep law and order in the universe without killing. Elsewhere, Hal Jordan faces down Tomar-Tu, and lo...

Darkseid has put an offer on the table- something that can end the war between New Genesis and Apokolips once and for all. The stakes are high, but peace is important. Mister Miracle finds himself caught having to make a decision that won't just change the new life he's been building, but potentially the entirety of the universe.
The critically acclaimed super star team of writer Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank continue this groundbreaking event as the Mime and the Marionette take center stage in DOOMSDAY CLOCK #6.
The road to this issue was a bumpy one, with a few ups and downs and some spoilers just days before the release (good thing I don't follow comic book news). But the wedding is finally here and they will live happily ever after... right?
I was afraid that Tom King may try to overdo it in this issue, by trying to be deep and profound which does not always work, indicated by the last two i more
It's the wedding you never thought you'd see! The Batrimony is real as Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are set to tie the knot in a can't-miss, extra-length milestone issue that will reshape Gotham City. I think you may be exaggerating with the intricate design and things being woven together. I'm sure King had the bigger story mapped out from the start, but I sincerely doubt that every little thing, including "fillers", will pay off in the future.
The fate of Lois Lane and Jon Kent is revealed! Metropolis' survival hangs in the balance! And Superman must somehow put an end to Rogol Zaar's rampage! It's do-or-die time for the Man of Steel in the final chapter of this explosive miniseries!
The wedding night's barely over, but Catwoman's back on the streets, this time to expose a copycat who's pulling heists around Gotham City. As Selina cracks the whip on her former criminal cohorts, she's attracting unwanted attention from one of Gotham's most dangerous groups. The mob? Nope. Try the GCPD. And as if the Bat-Bride didn't have enough ...

WOW. That was NOT the comic book I wanted to read. After 4+ years of build up I really wanted to see Batman and Catwoman embark on a happy life together. But that would have been too easy. 50 issues, it turns out, is genuinely not enough time to earn that enormous sea change.
I gotta say I had a sinking feeling ever since spoilers were posted though I did manage to avoid ALL of them. Th more

I like the way you worded that - not the book you wanted to read. I think there is story potential in a married Batman, but a solid case was laid out in this story for why Catwoman felt like she had to leave Batman at the altar. Plus, all of previous plot lines continue to point to a scheme to remove Batman from his role as hero. Where will it all end up?
Beaten by Rogol Zaar, his city burning at the hands of an unknown arsonist and the secret of what happened to Lois and Jon drawing closer to revelation - even Superman feels powerless against all that stands before him.
Really enjoying how Venditti is pulling everything together. The momentum is there for a big ending to this series.
"DARKSTARS RISING" part six! As Hal Jordan and the rest of the Green Lantern Corps scramble to save Guy Gardner from the Darkstar army, John Stewart's plan to save the GLC hinges on Kyle Rayner and a last-ditch effort to maintain their foothold!
"REBEL RUN" part one! The Guardians can no longer stand idly by as Jessica Cruz's ring gains more sentience. They've seen anomalies within the rings turn into universal nightmares, and now it's up to their greatest Lantern, Hal Jordan, to relieve Jess of her ring!
"REBEL RUN" part two! Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz hide from Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps on the planet Hellhole. While the two butt heads over what to do next, they find an ancient threat that has been slumbering within the core of this crime-infested world. It has been feeding, and it is ready to wake and strike!
i definitely enjoy Liam Sharp's art in this. i'm just coveting the idea of what could have been. at least we had gotten Grant and Quitely's JLA: Earth 2 a few years ago. that was amazing to see Frank Quitely drawing Kyle Rayner constructing those two giant hands clasping over the Crime Syndicate's Moon Base. SO awesome!! . . . . but Sharp is pretty good. my favorite work he did is the Death Dealer comics he did for Verotik. pretty sure i still have those in my collection . . . . somewhere. :-P
I LOVED EARTH 2! I'll have to check those other Liam Sharp comics out!
