If there's one thing popular fiction has taught us by now, it's: never make a deal with the devil! And yet Mister Miracle is still listening when Darkseid approaches him with just such a devilish proposition-if Scott sends his newborn son to Apokolips, there will be peace on New Genesis. Since when has Darkseid been famous for his honesty?! It'll be a miracle if this doesn't blow up in Scott's face.
The climatic, penultimate issue of Mister Miracle delivers the perfect climactic, penultimate issue we could want, in terms of writing, art and story. But there's still plenty of time for King and Gerads to blow our minds even more! Read Full Review
Yet again, King has knocked it out of the park and has created something both odd and immensely special. Mitch Gerads art has been solid throughout. The splatter effect through blood or illustrated white noise is used to further the story element at key points. I love that this team is committed to the nine-panel grid as a tribute to Jack Kirby. Despite this being the second to last issue I do not know how this story will end. There are a lot of questions left unanswered but I do know this book will be remembered as a must read for comic and literary fans due to its dark, existential, and philosophical themes. If what comes next is as good as what's in this one, Mister Miracle will join the pantheon of greatest comic stories ever. Somewhere, Jack Kirby is smiling to see his creations used in such a perfect manner. Read Full Review

Mitch Gerads plays his part as usual, making this comic the best on the market right now. For someone who is not a natural at the super hero genre, he handled himself quite well here. Pay attention to the way he draws Darkeid in the nine-panel grid. There is a lot of secondary storytelling hidden in these scenes. Read Full Review
This is a hell of an issue and maybe the best reveal in comics in the last decade. This series has been impressive up to this point but this issue cements the maxiseries as a modern classic. With one more issue to go to explain and wrap it all up, this is the true climax that will set up an emotional finale. Read Full Review
DCs cant-miss maxi-series nears its conclusion with a stunning shocking penultimate issue. It will be interesting to see how King and Gerads bring it home. Read Full Review
I have said it before, that the parenthood issues that Tom King addresses in Mister Miracle you could fill at least a season of a TV series. Read Full Review
A truly superb issue from King and Gerads. The appearance of Darkseid has been built up since the beginning and was awesome. I cannot wait for the next issue Read Full Review
This series has been one hell of a ride so far, and next issue will likely prove to be heart-wrenching, because if my interpretation is correct, Scott will need to face the fact that Jacob isn't real before he can truly escape the false life he's trapped in. I find myself both eagerly anticipating and dreading the final issue. Read Full Review
I know this series is coming to a close, but King and Gerads aren't leaving anything on the table. I have been waiting for this showdown with Darkseid since this series began, and I was blown away. It's the ending that left me looking crazy, so I'll be curious to see how they close it out with the next issue. For those invested in the series, you will not be disappointed. For those that haven't jumped on yet, you're crazy, but buy those trades soon as they drop because this series is one to remember. Read Full Review
It's taken a while for Mister Miracle #11 to get here, with quite a few delays to the last few issues of King and Gerads' DC masterpiece. But when you look at the way every single issue of Mister Miracle delivers on every level, it's well worth the wait. Read Full Review
Overall, Mister Miracle #11, is again a must buy. This series could be one of the best on shelves at the moment. Married together with emotional writing and raw and gripping art. Gerard and King are a pair that can't be touched. Can not, I repeat, can not recommend this book enough. Read Full Review
This series has been nothing but a series of hit after hit. A cohesive tale, where each issue deals with a new aspect of the New Gods. This issue will be cited as one of the best to ever feature Darkseid. Read Full Review
But while Mister Miracle #11 was another strong issue of a consistently strong miniseries, I feel that everyone will be waiting with bated breath for next month's finale to see whether King and Gerads stick the landing, or if this issue's big twist falls flat. Read Full Review
The plot of MISTER MIRACLE #11 may give you emotional whiplash, but only in the best way possible. It'll keep you guessing until the very end, as you laugh, cry, and lost your damn mind watching the events unfold. The characters are human and relatable even though they're basically gods. You will feel every moment of this story right along with them. And the immaculate artwork only elevates the book to the next level. Read Full Review
And Gerads is just excellent. His art is perfect for this. We are one issue away and he's just killed on the entire series thus far. If it ends as good as it's been, this could be one of the all time great comic book series. I think that it's going to actually happen. Read Full Review
It's a crazy, compelling story that plays hob with the notion of gods, war and reality. Read Full Review
Suffice it to say, Mitch is amazing at what he does, and he earned every bit of the Eisner he won. The raw emotion and power he put into this issue is palpable. He'll make you laugh, make you cry, and make you scream expletives for various reasons. Read Full Review

Tom King has crafted a strong book throughout the run and that really does carry through here in a really great way as it touches on so many different areas while keeping Scott central to it all. Read Full Review
If you've been reading thus far, you know the Mister Miracle team is going to bring their A-game. Though the confrontation with Darkseid was satisfying, nothing will really surprise readers who have been paying attention thus far. Read Full Review
Tom King and Mitch Gerads give us a penultimate issue that has big moments that are sure to have fans of the series drooling. I have been vocal about not loving every single page since issue one, but I even got swept up in the mayhem this month. It's not shocking to say that if you have loved this series so far, that probably won't change...except for what we find out by the end of this issue. The jury is still out and I will continue to wait for the entire series to end next issue before declaring this anything but one of the better issues so far. Read Full Review
The ending is confusing and I severely doubt King will explain it next issue. This was boring and the next issue couldn't come any slower. Read Full Review
Didn't like the series as a whole, but Holy Batman that issue was incredible !
Even Scott Free couldn't escape the awesomeness of this comic
It’s perfect. King is even topping his work on Vision. Just astounding.
Maybe Batman can be this good, too? Please?
This got me right in the feels.
FUUUUUUUUUUG! OMG! TOM KING I FUCKING LOVE YOU!
Eisner award winners for a reason, folks!
In-cruh-heh-dih-bull!!!! (Incredible!)
Jack Kirby would be proud as others have said. This was fugging good, dude.
Oh NO! NOOOO! *crying* What?? YES! YEEES!!!!!! ....... Wait... WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUG!!!!?????? WHAT????
Oh MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!
(Thats my review/ actual reaction to Mister Miracle #11)
Also, i agree with David Harth from "You Don't Read Comics". Jack Kirby is looking down right now, blessing Tom King for his genius writing and Mitch Gerads for his glorious art.
holy "FUUUUG!" I don't even know what to say. Just amazing!
Darkseid is... confused.
'I'm going to escape him to death.'
So great! Funny and emotional.
Incredible. What a twist at the end. I am lost for words and I really want to read the next issue.
Really enjoyed this whole issue. The twist/reveal was really interesting... but is also going to be really difficult to explain in a satisfying way. I'm interested to see if they can make it work in the final issue (and I hope they do).
THE GOOD:
-This issue is funny! I never expected Mister Miracle to be perhaps the greatest black comedy comic book of the year, but it truly is. The jokes work, they pay off and are hilarious.
-The end of this issue is really excellent. Its good to see the series being weird again, as that is what worked best in the beginning of the series. Combine that with the hit comedy-style of the mid-to-late issues of the run, and you've got a near-perfect issue.
-Mitch Gerads is an amazing artist. One of the best artists currently employed at DC. On a side note: This is a personal anecdote, but I actually got the chance to meet Mitch at Emerald City Comic Con, and can I say, he is one of the nicest people I have met. more
What I enjoy most from the series is tone and disorientation. This issue was more plot-oriented, but still quite enjoyable. It's as much as you can want from a big showdown. Only one to go in the future-classic!
This series has rebounded well. Let’s hope last issue wraps it up in a nice fashion!
I really liked it, but the ending and possibly connecting it with Rebirth story with Metron, feels stupid. It should b done long time ago.
At this point just end it because something has to save this series next issue. It can't be this simple. I get the emotional points and call backs and characters coming together to stand up to their tormentors but it's way too flat and simple even with that ending. Again I have to reiterate that the whole Gods concept anywhere is dumb and I mean how can Gods die and we have had many die and go to the bathroom along the way. The concept is flawed to begin with and none are truly powerful so there is always an out and that's why Darkseid can be easily defeated. As Odin said " We are not gods. We are born, we live, we die. Just as humans do." I just can't get past that even as a mechanism for storytelling. It just doesn't work.
I really can’t understand how people can like this. They must have never read a story, which focused on the New Gods.
King‘s Mr. Miracle run started good, because after their bad portrayal in Darkseid War the characters at least looked like their original versions again, but surely don’t act like them. However Kings entire run is quite repetitive: nothing really happens& all the exciting parts of the story ( like Darkseid getting the anti life equation) is only shortly mentioned, but we never witness the plot, boring dialogue, where the characters are just babbling nonesense.
Mr Miracle 11 however shows no understanding for the characters or their power level. Darkseid was yet again portrayed as a total idiot. He not only f more
