    AIPT - Piper Whitaker Dec 26, 2023

In the end, Power Girl #4 is a strong end for a first arc and shows Williams' best strengths as a writer. Pansica's art will be missed in the upcoming issues, however, we are excited for the future. Read Full Review

The Comicbook Dispatch - kcscribbles Dec 26, 2023

Power Girl #4 continues to be a fantastic series, building a solid Rogues Gallery for her, making her more complex than shes ever been in previous appearances, and making Omen an equally fascinating member of her supporting cast. This issue is filled with action and the Symbioship adds a touch of horror to the book. Recommended. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez Dec 28, 2023

Power Girl #4 ends Power Girl's conflict with the Symbio A.I. with a big superhero fight and a conclusion with consequences. The art team's output looks great, and Power Girl's fight isn't over yet, but this issue is a step in the right direction for the series. Read Full Review

If you can accept Power Girl's new status quo, there's a lot of potential here, but both the art and the story have room for improvement. Read Full Review

Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj Jan 5, 2024

So let's wrap up. Power Girl isn't the hero in her own book and there are some odd leaps in the plot. There might come a time soon where I need to drop this. Because this isn't a Power Girl book. And it isn't entertaining as a non-Power Girl book. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Matthew Lloyd Dec 26, 2023

If Leah Williams had an editor that was competent and given some direction, this storyline could be salvaged into something VERY apropos for Power Girl. As it stands it's the equivalent of amateur hour. Pansica's depiction of PG may be off, but the storytelling is solid and there's a look to the book that is enjoyable. Read Full Review

This story had a lot going for it and lot against it. Once again I am torn and I blame DC editors. Leah has some great ideas but also some really stupid ones. Clearly no one is guiding her and so everything just comes pouring out.

This issue only had one major big problem:

Omen. Get rid of Omen. She is @#$%@$% annoying, useless and then randomly OP just as a plot device. If PowerGirl stopped focusing on her feeling all the time with Omen these issues would be way better. I dislike Omen more each issue.

What it had going for it:

The fight was pretty good. Superman felt more like Superman. Trying to have the best outcome of the day. Take some damage to help a friend. Not condescending, just concer more

I think Power Girl is drawn too blandly. Cool issue I guess. The action was OK. I like Omen, but i get why people dont.

A very underwhelming issue. What was the point of spending half of this issue on the mystery box story villain only to have said villain get promptly beaten by the supporting character and not the hero of the story??? Williams, please, why are you writing a comic named POWER GIRL and making Omen such an major part of her story? Omen is a supporting character who shouldn't take up the spot of the hero from the title character.

The good art can't save this comic and unfortunately I don't think Pansica is going to be on this comic much longer and the boring art of Sauvage will be back in the near future. Blah. This whole reboot of Karen Starr has been a bad experiment and it should just end on issue 6. Renumber it to #1 with a new more

Questioning if this series is even a Power Girl series with the amount of plot relevance Omen has. The depression and overall miserableness from Power Girl is toned down, but she’s still incompetent and relies on Omen to save the day. Holzherr has failed this title, the amount of inconsistencies from the first issue to this one is jarring, something an editor is supposed to prevent. Kaminski allowing Williams to overhaul Power Girl into a worse imbecile of a character is ridiculous. What an overall bad title for Power Girl.
