May 13, 2026Turning one of the DCU’s most powerful heroes into a villain suddenly is a big risk, but so far it’s been a fascinating series. I was a little surprised that Firehawk wasn’t in this issue after being teased last month, but this was a great close-up on one of the men who made Firestorm tick. Read Full Review

KPB Comics - Phillip Creary
May 13, 2026Lemire is planting seeds that something is very wrong with the Matrix itself, and it’s not just about a hero having a bad day. There’s a terrifying mystery being sown here where the enemy might just be the raw power of the Firestorm entity itself, stripped of its human conscience. Truly, Lemire has successfully turned a B-list hero into the DC Universe’s biggest threat, and I’m hooked to see how the League even survives the next round. Read Full Review

In this Lemire has trounced his current JLA run. This is the most vital Lemire has felt in the superhero genre in a very long time.

I never really cared for firestorm. I just kinda of remember him in the superfriends cartoon and on Blackest night (random, I know). But the fury of firestorm is, by far, my favorite “next level” series (even better than Deathstroke, which I loved). The art is superb. I love the mystery surrounding firestorm new status. Can’t wait to read more.

It's still excellent. Just a step back compared to the previous issue, but it's necessary to better understand Ronnie and Stein. Lemire's writing is captivating and the art is beautiful. The last page is also very interesting, and I think taking J'onn J'onzz isn't a good idea 😅.
But I'm excited for the next issues. it has a lot of potential and i trust lemire. -
