    All-Comic - Erik Gonzalez May 26, 2015

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is still one of IDWs flagship titles and absolutely earns its place there. The entire creative team is running on all cylinders, heading towards a powerful conclusion. These folks know these characters inside and out and have a deep passion for them, which pops right off the page. One cant ask for more. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Nick Nafpliotis May 26, 2015

Once again, the TMNT creative has taken an issue that could have been a by-the-numbers setup piece and turned it into a great bit of storytelling. It's yet another reason this title is becoming my favorite incarnation of the Heroes in a Half Shell. Read Full Review

It's difficult to place #46. It is a vital puzzle piece, acting as a slow burner for bigger events, but its pace is also its biggest enemy. Could most of the story have been squeezed into #45 already? Quite possibly. Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Ian Yoxon May 30, 2015

Overall Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #46 is a must read. We explore more of Donatello's situation and see what the other characters are up to after the fight with the technodrome. The art is great and the comic makes you want to read more TMNT comics, which is greatwhen this summer will be big for the franchise. Read Full Review

This issue did a fantastic job showing us everyone before the end game. It was nice to get an issue that showed us where everyone is at and where everything is going. This issue gave me the feeling that these next few issues, something big is going to happen. I don't know what it is but I guarantee you that we don't see it coming. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Matt Little Jun 1, 2015

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" #46 continues the series' incredibly impressive run of action packed stories full of emotion, and it looks gorgeous to boot. It's surprising that a book this dense is still building to something even bigger and -- as Eastman, Curnow and Waltz continue to circle the wagons around the Turtles and their friends -- readers should continue to expect a white-knuckled thrill ride as they hurtle towards the anniversary issue. The bits of Hun this issue might be my favorite part of the story. Hun has long been the scummiest, lowliest character in this series, and this issue finds him drunk again, trying to reconnect with Casey, because now that there’s no longer a hit out on him, they can be a family again. Obviously, Casey is not into the idea, and they send Hun packing. After the technodrome affair, a creep like Hun just seems kind of pitiful. I didn’t think I’d ever see abusive, alcoholic parents played for laughs, but this comic pulls it off because it also shows us the power Casey gains from his new family unit. It’s not particularly nuanced, but it is very smart. It’s not common to see protagonist and antagonist agree to disagree and walk away without a fight. However, this issue’s finale promises at least one fight of epic proportions next month. The peace and quiet was fun while it lasted, but now it’s time for the mayhem. Read Full Review

Comic Vine - Corey 'Undeadpool' Schroeder May 27, 2015

This issue might be more establishing and building than delivering, but it really does feel like its building to something fantastic. Thereve been enough great stories told in this universe that it doesnt need to prove itself fully issue after issue, but theres still something to be said for taking a breather when a breather is called for. Still, pushing forward cant be all bad, and this issue certainly isnt as the various factions begin to gear up for what looks like will be their final confrontation. This issue is a good one leading to what will hopefully be a great one. Read Full Review

For a single issue Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #46 tackles quite a lot, and I'm not sure how all of these threads will get woven together and fully addressed in only four issues, but I'll stick around to find out. Worth a look. Read Full Review

Visually, artist Mateus Santolouco slays it per usual, his great characterization making up for the book's lack of action or momentum. Unfortunately, all setup and no play makes for an issue that's just okay. Read Full Review

Just when we thought we were out of the woods and the turtles could breath and be happy again, they are about to see their friends and family thrown into a new war. The best part of this issue comes whenMikey shares a slice of pizza with his human friend, as he vents all the emotions he currently has. A whole other story could be written about how Mikey hides his feeling from his brothers, so he doesn't look weak. But all he wants to do is live life. He fights. and thinks his brothers fight so they no longer have to. I can feel his disheartened feelings toward Splinter having his son's look for the next fight. They barely came out of the last fight with all their shells intact, why can't they all just get along? Foot note of this issue (no pun intended), we find out what T.C.R.I. stands for. If you plan on seeing how things end in issue #50, this issue is the first steps towards the end. Read Full Review

    SnapPow.com - John McCubbin May 29, 2015

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #46 may not rank amongst the most impressive entries of this fun, exciting series, but it definitely gives depth. Moving on from the drastic changes that have befallen our Heroes in a Halfshell, the creative team give an emotional series of events that sets up the future beautifully. Just a shame it feels like an extended version of the FCBD issue. Read Full Review

Big Comic Page - Craig Neilson May 26, 2015

I get the impression that this is one of those issues that will read better as part of a trade, serving as a slight storyline lull as we take stock of exactly where we are before pushing forward again. Unfortunately however, as a single issue, it comes across as more than a little flat, lacking direction and failing to provideenough meat for the reader to get their teeth into. That said, given the track record of the Eastman and Waltz write partnership, Im more than happy to write this one offas a minor blip rather thanhitting the panic button and abandoning ship. TMNT has always been good about giving a breather after major events so that our characters can process it and grow, this issue is no exception. The city is about to endure a power shift and I can't wait. If you got the FCBD issue, I'd suggest reading it after this issue.
