Lona Steelrose and Cobrasun must face a hard truth as FYSO wrestles with their own life or death situation!
Overall I can't complain about this series. I loved this book. It's the best book yet, hands down. The finale is going to be dynamite. I know it. Thank you to the team for such a "powerbomb" of a series! Daniel Warren Johnson, I look forward to reading what else you have in the works. Fans! Pre-order your books now! Just going to say the FYSO characters were so well written. Although DWJ doesnt spend a huge amount of time on their backstory, you understand perfectly well why these people, do terrible terrible unforgivable things, and you can empathize with them. You also see how their goals and desperation drive them to their eventual end. So much said with so little. That is the mark of a great writer/artist.
The penultimate issue of this miniseries continues the trend of awesome reads. If things couldn't get any bigger, Lona and Cobrasun now have to literally wrestle God. The flashbacks into Cobrasun's past with Yuo were nice to see, as it strengthens our emotional investment into the story of him trying to get his wife back. This has just been an extremely well-written run so far, paired with some fantastic art.
I absolutely adore the panels of Necroton rushing to give them the belts so he can try and salvage the double homicide that happened at then end

That cover goes hard and I hate snakes. There is so much to like about this book. Even though it kind of blows through the other fighters and their backstories which makes it a little harder to resonate with all the parties but in the end the only one that really matters is Lona and Cobrasun. All they have to do is y'know. Beat God.
I haven't decided yet if this issue jumps the shark. I enjoyed it either way.
Cool comic.
