Its horror. Its subtle and sinister. Theres going to be some very, very dark stuff thats going to hit the pages of future issues as things progress, but for now, Lemire and Sorrentino are more than content to let the mood resonate off the page before the shadows take over and plunge everything into darkness. The anticipation of that darkness is SO palpable in the first issue of the series. Read Full Review

Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino deliver an incredible start to the latest entry in The Bone Orchard Mythos. You are immediately invested in the seven leads in Tenement #1 with how Jeff Lemire develops each of them through the writing. Then there is the incredible artwork by Sorrentino and colorist David Stewart that gets over the vibe of the story with great use of page space. It all comes togethers for a can't miss comic book. Dark, brooding, creepy and atmospheric with some excellent character development, especially for an opening issue. If you enjoy horror comics that offer a more unsettling psychological horror than shock and gore, try this comic. Lemire has written a compelling first issue and Sorrentino's art is as impressive as ever.

A solid recommendation for fans of intelligent horror stories.

This is the next little mini-series in “The Bone Orchard Mythos.” Which is Jeff Lemire horror universe. This is the third entry into that universe after, The Passageway was a graphic novel and was the first, Ten Thousand Black Feathers was the second and that was a mini-series. Ten Thousand Black Feathers I really got into so needless to say I was looking forward to this and all the entries into The Bone Orchard Mythos.

You get introduced to the characters and the setting, which is an apartment building. It lingers on there being seven people. Isaac is a child that lives with his m more

I'm giving it a more favorable grade due to the art. The art really makes this story, and adds the atmosphere which is what I liked most about it. It introduced the characters and a kid got a key. That's all that really happened.
