Transformers #17 strikes an excellent balance between multiple plotlines going on at the same time. No plotline ever feels less than any of the other ones going on. Daniel Warren Johnson and Jorge Corona make sure to give every setting enough time to feel properly developed. KEN: 9.1. The never ending battle continues to stake its destruction of Earth in this new issue. Johnsons writing takes the heroes into their breaking points. TRANSFORMERS #17 is a G1-lovers Easter Egg dream. Daniel Warren Johnson uses every inch of page space to give a moment to every Transformer available, Decepticon and Autobot, to shine, and Jorge Corona's emotional artwork is stupendous. The new introduction to the series looks great.
This series is pure joy, the art is amazing, the stakes feel relevant and the characters feel right.
Fun comic as usual. Good art and writing. A lot is going on and it can be a little jaring, but it's still a good read.
