As far as event tie-in books goes, this is top notch. If a reader has not been keeping up with the ‘Fall of X' storyline, this issue and the last issue were enough to bring them up to speed so they could enjoy the ride. Read Full Review

I'm happy to see how 3-D Man served a similar role for the Avengers as Firestar did for the X-Men in their fight against Orchis. I wasn't sure when and how 3-D Man turned to the dark side, but I was giddy during the big revelation of what he and Black Panther planned in secret. Very well done. Read Full Review
When you shake it all down, Avengers #13 is affected a bit too much by external factors, leaving us with an anticlimax two-thirds of the way through the issue, an epilogue that has to play it coy, and a next-issue blurb promising an all-new, albeit possibly temporary lineup. Read Full Review

Toiler paper quality all the way
Not related to how awful it is to read a book as shallow and boring as this one, but I can't really see Black Panther, King of Wakanda saying "Damn"
