Nyx, the Queen of Night, battles the Avengers over the bodies of her victims - and Hawkeye pays the price of defiance!
LEGACY #709
Rated T+
An excellent action issue that introduces new villains and has one character traumatically changed. I enjoyed the Voyager flashback, Challenger's appearances, seeing the Avengers in action, and that conclusion is outstanding! The visuals are great in this chapter, with every blow massive and every tear in flesh felt by the reader. This is exactly how the Avengers should be shown! Marvel is making magic with this book. The second installment of No Road Home lands with a lot of complications, not all of them positive. Narratives get muddled in the first act, but the plot hammers itself back into shape with some powerful developments further on. The challenge Nyx presents grows dreadfully clear, and the story still crackles with "and then what happened?" excitement. Read Full Review
With a team of gods, androids, and immortal beings, Hawkeye shouldn't be the most interesting character on this Avengers roster, providing the inner monologue that narrates the entire book. But, here we are, and it seriously works. Read Full Review
For the second issue of a weekly book, not a lot is going on here. It looks great and the cliffhanger had me excited, but as far as the main story, I really could care less. It's a shame, but I think I am giving Waid, Ewing, and Zub one more issue to impress me because they haven't so far. Read Full Review
Wow! Yes this team of writers is actually delivering a second issue that's better than the first. Great job by Paco Medina whose awesome pencils and smooth lines are enhanced by Vlasco and Aburtov. I loved how they intertwined the story with Clint Barton's POV. Tough to keep it at this level but i'm hoping they do!
Nyx is badass!!!!
Poor Hawkeye.
Another good issue that is fabulously paced along with great art from Paco Medina. Nyx seems like a worthy villain and I love that this issue centered around Clint. And those last 2 pages though!
I really like this villain and her gang, I think they’re neato.
And we go again for a stupid stories. I hoped so much after the first issue.
So they keept the voice off ... Both Tony & Black adam are already out.
The flashback is too long in one hand but at the same time the fight is too easy for the Queen of Night and her childrens. Voyager is as dumb as in No surrender (Yeah sure Challenger will not try to excape). And what with this fucking end for clint. I really hope it's a illusion. I'm pissed.
Cover - Not good but because the design for the children are not very good. Related. 1/2
Writing - Like I said for No surrender. Three writer for that. I think Marvel is fooled, and us too. I don't understand how three good writer can write this shitty story. 1/3
Arts - I like more
Not worth the money. The story shows some signs of improvement but it still sucks.
