The Comicbook Dispatch - tcreadscomics
Nov 16, 2022This is a reasonably well done issue for what it is. Though it might be possible for new readers to use the CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE WINTER SOLDIER SPECIAL #1 as a jumping on point, it reads like an enhancement to the ongoing story in CAPTAIN AMERICA: SENTINEL OF LIBERTY. In that way the narrative is quite effective and further enhanced with high quality art. Read Full Review

This issue was basically all set up and exposition, but it was very interesting. If you're reading the Sentinel of Liberty title, this is a must.

I have found this story to be absolutely fascinating! The only thing I didn't like about this book was the fact that it ended. I can't wait for the next chapter!

Well, I love it. It's an awe-inspiring wad of backstory and worldbuilding, but tempered with a significant bit of forward plot motion. Plus, it's got gobs of style in its script structure and art. Absolutely required reading for Sentinel of Liberty.
