Rated T+
The art is breathtakingly detailed and clean. There are so many great moments in this book that are conveyed by Saiz through a glance or subtle facial expression. A thoroughly entertaining and visually stunning issue. Read Full Review
A great insight into the motives of Strange and the delightful way he is perceived by those around him. Read Full Review
This book gives us all some much-needed breathing space before the titanic issue #400 and with an ending that I dare not spoil due to how shocking it is, well… lets just say if youre a fan of Doctor Strange youre going to want to read this. Its a well written story with some of the best artwork Marvel is currently producing. Pick it up and prepare yourselves because next month, Doctor Strange hits 400 issues and nothing will ever be the same again. Read Full Review
Doctor Strange #9 restored a lot of faith in this series that was slipping for me. It's all about the new right now. New enemies, new situations, bold solutions. You have to keep on this and execute with consistency for the best results. Read Full Review
Nothing really happens in the book when all is said and done, but it will stand out as one of Strange's more interesting character studies. Read Full Review
Mark Waid has done nothing to get me excited about this book since the start of his Fresh Start run and slamming on the breaks for a nice little issue about Stephen from the block isnt changing that. Hopefully, it changes for the better with next months legacy #400. Read Full Review
I like the idea of Strange loving his neighbourhood we never really saw that before. I also like the silliness of this issue just wait until you see Stephen babysit two girls and call his uncanny lawyer. Mark Waid was always good at making comic book funny and this was no exception. If you are interesed more in Stranges personal life outside being sorcerer supreme this is a great issue for you and you should read it. The next issue will be January 30 and the special #400 issue of Doctor Strange title.
A self contained plot, for the most part, that humanizes Stephen. Where is Wong in these flashbacks though?
Hopefully, the second arc was just a fluke and this series gets back on track. This issue was certainly a step in the right direction. Mark Waid got to finish his story with that last arc, no matter how shoehorned it felt. And now we can get back to good stories, hopefully. I'm digging Strange's new space outfit, as well.
When Waid is paired with a great artist like Saiz, it makes for a really enjoyable read. It's gonna be almost 2 months for the next issue to follow on that cliffhanger.
Ok this was a interesting story, but I have a hard time trust Strange care this much for those he have as neighbor.
I succeed to make Kanna go away (Miss her already)
A nice transitional story, but that all.
Cover - I choose the vilain variant. I love it, but not in link to what I read. 1/2
Writing - Good, but I don't really care. The end is a good surprise through ! And the epilog show promises. 2.5/3
Arts - I love the arts. 3/3
Feeling - Still one of the best ongoing I read with strange. 2/2
This was nice but a bit of a throwaway.
