Rated T+
This issue, the last of the run's initial arc is exactly as brutal as you'd expect a Ghost Rider story to be. Exceptionally grim, this book is peak Marvel horror with goosebump-inducing thrills throughout. Read Full Review
Ghost Rider #4 is a thrilling book full of hellfire's fury and an all new badass role for Danny Ketch, delivering on all the excitement and potential this series promised from the start. Read Full Review
The first arc concludes and plays a big part in the setup for the future of the book, so in a lot of ways this is more like a prelude. Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch both are dealing with changes to their power sets. I like that there will be more Spirits and different themes. Read Full Review
Overall the artwork was pretty good, but the best panels has be when spirit of an eight armed, Spirit of Corruption shows up and Johnny has been informed that he has to fight him. Read Full Review
I really enjoyed this issue. The one thing that gave me pause is the Spirit of Corruption's design... Otherwise, I'm totally on board for this. Hearts of Darkness II included, no matter how stupid and nonsensical the 90s original is.
This was a very interesting read and im excited to see what happens.
Prelude:
Ghost Rider has been pretty great so far so let's see how Brisson goes with the last issue of The King of Hell.
The Good:
Limbo and everything there is cool.
Johnny was great this issue.
The Bad:
Continuity with Mephisto was a bit off.
I'm unsure about the new persona for Danny.
Conclusion:
A good issue but the continuity and future for Danny did throw me a bit. I'll have to see more though to make proper judgement.
-I think danny exploring limbo couldve been a little longer
-Not much going on with Lilith
-Loved everything involving Johnny
-Split between knowing mephisto has been cut off from hell so he is weaker and also not believing Johnny could capture him so easily
I like the "big picture" plot and the art, but I don't particularly like either Ghost Rider. Which could become A Problem.
This was a fairly solid but not super special issue.
This book is almost brutal but didn't felt like a conclusion. There's a mystery behind what's happening for Blaze and I'm intrigued on knowing what will happen. Danny's new status quo is questionable.
The art is fantastic but the design for Danny's new look is...okay...it has a 90's feel but I really wish it was more incline to something a bit more...horror-ish...
Overall, it's a good book but not so much as a conclusion.
