Kang The Conqueror #4 brings the story of the young time traveler full circle as he returns to the far future. But this is where the story shifts from Kang's war against himself to his romance with Ravonna. The series and this comic hinges on the relationship between Kang and Ravonna, and that takes center stage with all the battles and conflicts as window dressing for the comic. The art and colors by Carlos Magno and Espen Grundetjern are spectacular with imagery that does Kang The Conqueror justice. Read Full Review

While it's possible to imagine a tragedy or character study built atop these bones, the context of a story well told and worth investing in is work left to the reader. Read Full Review

I have loved this series so far and this issue may have been my favorite one. This has been such a joy to read. I can see myself rereading this kang story over and over again. I can't wait for the last issue but wish it wasn't the last one

*Mild spoilers* Ugh...man. This was a tragic issue that really adds a layer of emotional complexity to Kang, and I absolutely love it. "A villain could not gain her love. And a hero could not save her life." Dang...that's just heartbreaking. Kang realizes the only way to win Ravonna's heart is to show that he can be merciful, but it's that very mercy that leads to her demise. Brilliant stuff. Writing is still super strong and the art is still fantastic. Not much more needs to be said. This comic is awesome. It might end up being my 2nd favourite villain-centric mini series of all-time, right behind Donny Cates' Thanos Wins, which, if you know how much I adore that mini, is insanely high praise.

Again, the plot suffers, just like last issue, from the writers just making stuff up out of nowhere by not adhering to any rules, but the character work and the art are great. I hope the last issue will end up with a bang.

Kelly and Lanzing knock it out of the park once more with this issue. Can't wait to get this collected in a trade and re-read. This is going to be one hell of a one-sitter.

I have a few issues with how this one is paced, but overall, this is still a really good series.

This is a pretty good series. I see some don't like it but, I do like the theme, the plot and the art makes to flow nicely.

There are little stylistic choices in the words and the art that annoy me, but I recognize that's purely subjective. This is really well done, really epic, and it links up with the start of the series with beautiful dramatic irony. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up.
