Kang the Conqueror ends on a note that's tragic but also suits his demeanor over the decades. This creative team has done this character justice by giving him new complexity while staying true to who he is and what he stands for. What's most incredible about this story is how it's at once romantic, but also suitably villainous. Read Full Review

Kang The Conqueror #5 delivers a series finale that winds up bringing everything in this series full circle. Kang enacts his final plot in the series in his greatest attempt to save Ravonna from her fate, and it all spirals out of control the only way a Kang time-travel plot could. The artwork by the art team is the biggest star here as every major shot of Kang is nothing short of epic for the series' conclusion. Read Full Review

That was absolutely fantastic! This whole series has been fantastic. I just loved how it was written every book had me fully invested in the story. The artwork was incredible. This is a series I've already read a few times I really just love it!

This was truly awesome. What an epic, brilliantly written (not to mention gorgeously drawn) story. I absolutely loved this mini. It was very wordy, but I wouldn't remove a single letter from it. The narration was totally captivating throughout and it helped carry me with rapt attention through the story while I feasted on Carlos Magno's exquisite artwork. Stories that play around with time can be incredibly difficult to get right, but Lanzing and Kelly did an amazingly impressive job with this. It was perfectly tragic and satisfying, and it made me love the character of Kang so much more. This book proved why he can be such a formidable villain, despite how he is sometimes portrayed as somewhat of a joke. Overall rating for this mini ser more

It was pretty great until the end. I kind of got lost. The series overall is worth the read.

It got better than the last few but still not very clear at the end. It got lost in its own loop and lost me with it in key moments. I had to re-read a few pages many times looking for clues. Kelly and Lanzing overall had a nice story but they could have been clearer in key moments. It's only an 8 because Magno was not the weak link here. He killed it with the art and didn't take any shortcuts. Grundetjern's colors were great too.

A solid finale that closes off the loop, and... yeah, this miniseries had no right being as good as it was, but man it was enjoyable.

Well, it comes in for a landing on the most predictable runway. The creators go the extra mile to make it seem inevitable and tragic; I think the artist did better than the writers. I'm disappointed, but not so much so as to say this isn't a good comic.

Pretty underwhelming finale. It seemed to me like after taking a trip through all of Kang's variants, the writers didn't really know what to do with the character. I guess this was decent but I expected better. Even the art wasn't that great here, Magno didn't have any chances to amaze us with his awesome splash panels.
