Weird Science Marvel Comics - Dispatchdcu

This premise continues to be a hit. Is it because it has more freedom as an "Elseworld" story? Maybe. MAESTRO: WAR AND PAX certainly has the flexibility to live outside any constraints happening in the current Marvel Landscape. However, it's also successful because David is thoroughly developing his old FUTURE IMPERFECT story in an entertaining way that's cluttered with action, twist, turns, and meaningful characters to longtime Hulk fans. Maestro: War & Pax #1 is a solid, sometimes even frightening comic about the dangers of authoritarianism. To call it timely might be an understatement. Don't miss out! Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William Tucker

Maestro: War and Pax #1 is an intense first issue. David takes a character that he created almost 30 years ago and writes a great continuation to his story. Featuring epic fights and expanding a world with unexpected new additions, this alternate universe set on a world full of death has shown that it still has life in it. The characters that have been drafted into the story will provide nothing but exciting trouble for Maestro's mission. Read Full Review

A one-two punch of humor and action, Maestro: War and Pax #1 is pure fun from cover to cover. Unfortunately, a few missteps prevent this issue from becoming a true knockout. Read Full Review

Javier Pina does a great job with the art. The story is geared more towards action and Pina does a great job bringing that energy to the visuals. The characters look good and there are some great details, but the art really comes alive with the last page reveal. Read Full Review

This started off a little slow, but really got going, and the cliffhanger is exciting.

Maestro is on the march, conquering other wasteland settlements and formulating plans for a more permanent rule. Great powers watch him from the shadows and prepare to oppose him. It's got an interesting plot, solid art, and excellent pacing. It's not the most nuanced book when it comes to characterization, though. Distant and cold, but well-crafted enough to satisfy.

Cold , cold Maestro. This is not a needed series , but I'll stick with it to see Maestro slaughter more kids and watch the hero known as the Hulk lose his soul to the hubris of the Maestro. - Audiomack.com/cvrthebard
