The first story ends with some real heart and some very interesting hints about the future. Read Full Review
Mr. & Mrs. X #5 was a fantastic end to the first story arc of this series, "Love & Marriage." Kelly Thompson's understanding of Rogue and Gambit is the strength of this series. The particular developments in this issue set the groundwork for some intriguing storylines for both the Mr. & Mrs. X series and the X-Men franchise as a whole. If you are an X-Men fan I highly recommend giving Mr. & Mrs. X a try. Read Full Review

Rogue and Xandra stop the fight with a risky ruse - not only does Remy suffer through a fatality fakeout, but Rogue's powers get messed up. I appreciate that while these two adverse outcomes aren't (and shouldn't be) precisely balanced, Remy's heartbreak is given plenty of respect. An emotionally powerful script brings this arc in for a very satisfying conclusion.
Good enough end to the first arc. I'm excited to see where this series goes.
I like some part of the story, but many part seem to not have a real sense. Where the hell is Deathbird and her men ? Why Cerise thanks Oracle & Gladiator ? Why let Cerise & Xandra leave alone ? I trusted they was supposed to keep them safe on earth.
I like all the thing about Remy & Rogue through. Even if I'm not a fan of the now way rogue's powers work. Love the last page with the idea of a party.
Cover - Nice but not related because the starjammer have not a huge role in there. 1/2
Writing - It was weird to follow the fallout of the last cliffhanger and then have a flashback. And this give something not very original. 2/3
Arts - Really like the art. The fact there is no much background is easily explain by the f more
This was fine! Loving how Rogue got out of trouble with her poor traumatized husband by “totally losing control of her powers.” I see you, Rogue. Also, their rings are made of people and I feel like we didn’t really give that the attention it needs.
I think this arc was one issue too long. The fakeout Rogue death was kinda pointless as there was no way any of the readers would think she was actually dead. I think if issues 4 and 5 had been condensed into a single issue it would have flowed better.
The illusion part didn't work due to last issue I thought they were getting teleported not shot at. Would have preferred more of an argument with Rogue and Remy about her decision.
