This has been a lot of action for such a short series! It's great. Art has not disappointing. This was a fun read but didn't blow me away. I feel like we will have a lot of drama and sacrifice next issue. Read Full Review
Their art just isn't my cup of tea, that's all. Certainly not enough to turn me away from the stories in characters, but definitely not enhancing my experience. If Thompson continues with Mr. & Mrs. X, or whatever the title turns into next, I wouldn't mind if someone else handled the artwork going forward. Read Full Review
The enjoyable Rogue & Gambit series continues its enjoyableness unabated, and throws in a deeper understanding of its characters for the fun of it. Read Full Review
Mr. & Mrs. X #4 was a fun, fast-paced issue that continued the strong momentum Kelly Thompson's has created for this series. Thompson understanding and love for Rogue and Gambit is made clear throughout this issue as she tests their relationship in different ways that makes them a stronger pair. The involvement of the Starjammers, Shi'ar Empire and Deathbird made the entire conflict around the child of Professor Xavier and Lilandra even stronger. If you are an X-Men fan you should give Mr. & Mrs. X a shot. Read Full Review

The high adventure continues in this issue, with Oscar Bazaldua delivering some great action shots and sequences of Gambit showing off his escape skills while in a Shi'ar prison. Read Full Review
MR. AND MRS. X #4 is a dynamic issue that brings a lot to the table, even if it struggles to juggle it all. Read Full Review
Kelly Thompson's Mr. and Mrs. X #4 started off masterfully good with a lot of really great moments between Rogue and Gambit. As always, Oscar's art was on point throughout the book. Up until the halfway mark, there is nothing to really complain about. But again, that is where it began to run into some problems, not to mention it ends on a cliffhanger we basically saw in the first issue. Fans of the books will not be discouraged (as yours truly), but I encourage anyone on the cusp to just hang in there. Future solicits promise that this is going to continue to be a fun ride. A fun issue, but lacking some of the substance of 1-3. Thompson is great with the R&G dialogue and has a talent for the cliffhanger ending. The art is a step down from the fun Deadpool and Gambit fight scene pages of previous issues. Though rogue punching Titan and the following spread were pretty great.
The other best reading of this week is this wonderfull, smart & funny title. I love the utilisation of so many cherished & lost characters. And this without crush Remy & Rogue importance. It was so damn great.
Cover - Love it & a little related 1.5/2
Writing - I laugh a lot, that's a good sign. 2.5/3
Arts - I love the layout. Nice, fresh, soft. I love this Rogue (I really think its the more beautiful version of her I seen so far. And I was reading Jim Lee back in the 90's. Not so many background. 2.5/3
Feeling - A beautiful ongoing. I will go back in time & kick myself to be so hard on this ongoing when they tell what this will be. 2/2
I enjoy the interactions between Rogue and Gambit a ton. The plot is actually interesting and there's some deep dives in this issue as well.
This is a fine comic that I don’t hate!
While I like the dialogue between Rogue and Gambit, the dialogue for everyone else is making this book harder and harder for me to keep reading
THE GOOD:
-I do think Kelly Thompson has characterized Rogue and Gambit very well. They are pretty compelling characters.
THE BAD:
-Still not a very huge fan of the art. It just feels very plain in my opinion. It also appears to be over-sexualizing Rogue.
-This issue, just generally speaking is way too bland. I can hardly remember a thing about it except I was bored most of the way through.
-It feels as if the StarJammers are just thrown in there. Their contributions to the plot are so minimal, it starts to feel like their only there as fan service.
