The Ultimates is still that book that's delivering what it's promised. We got a team full of powerhouses doing real powerhouse shit and also having to work with one another and deal with the shit the universe throws at them (that they're supposed to be getting ahead of). You want a consistent banger with a vast array of diverse characters, women shining, and smart folk, then hop up on this series people. Read Full Review
If you haven't been collecting these books, I guess you can always wait for the trade paperback. The Ultimatesis a great comic that continues to keep me interested despite all the shenanigans going on elsewhere. Read Full Review
This storyline is eventually swept away for the Civil War II crap, and it drags the rest of the comic down. The Thanos storyline, as per any Thanos storyline, as awesome and intense – we want more, please Marvel? Miss America stands up to Captain Marvel yet again, and it doesn't go down well. The end of the issue suggests an “endgame”, which is something we can stand behind for sure. Read Full Review
The Ultimates #11 is again like the Vision; a set-up issue for the end game but instead what we got is an exciting fight between Thanos and the Ultimates. Al Ewing also shows a glimpse of what is happening in the cosmic universe and we should expect some big cosmic battles in the New Marvel Now Ultimates 2. Read Full Review
Ewing and co. tell an entertaining story and the pages by Rocafort are fantastically drawn, but this book is still doing something completely different from what made me start reading it, while also taking a dip in quality overall. I'm somewhat dissapointed but this is still a very solid comic. Read Full Review
The Ultimates is trying. How it's forced to tie into the very early beginnings of Civil War II is criminal at this point, but Al Ewing is still able to make it work. This is a good book, crafted with care, with ties to the Marvel Universe past and present. I just can't shake this feeling the Ultimates could be enjoyed at a much higher level minus its tie-in status outside this current Marvel timeline. Read Full Review
I am digging the story, but man, that art shift halfway through is JARRING.
Very bad action.
