Issue #23 is the final chapter of the "Otherworld" story arc. This is a solid ending to an overall solid story, but I am a little bit glad to see it end. It was, in my opinion, not as enthralling as the previous story arc (Dark Angel Saga). Then again, that story might be hard to top. This story arc managed to develop a lot of these characters, made some big changes to the status-quo of the Marvel universe, and for the most part kept me at the edge of my seat. I'm definitely looking forward to the start of the next story arc and I'm hoping it will involve Fantomex taking a trip to the plastic surgeon. Poor guy. Read Full Review

I can't help but feel this entire story arc would have been better if there was a different artist attached. The story itself has been solid, but Tocchini's artwork has really dragged things down. Comics are a medium equal parts words and images. You can't have one without the other; otherwise it isn't a comic. Therefore, truly great comics are achieved by both aspects carrying their share of the load. Uncanny X-Force #23, sadly, doesn't manage that. Read Full Review

"Uncanny X-Force" #23 is a good comic with a great conclusion. This entire arc has been a shift from the end of "The Dark Angel Saga" and that still feels like the right thing to do -- you don't try to top a modern classic, you just keep on entertaining. The battle for Otherworld has been fun with a fitting end. Read Full Review

Well, I have to admit, this issue was WAAAAY better than I ever would have expected it to be. I mean I was seriously expecting a score of about a 3 or so based on the other issues of this storyline. Now, I still hated this storyline and hope to never see nor hear of the Captain Britain Corps or Otherworld ever again, but hey, at least this issue wasn't that bad! The swerve at the end with Jamie was well done, and I liked the way Psylocke scolded Capt. Britain for forcing her to do the dirty work so he could remain clean. At least we finished this week off on a high... Kind of... Read Full Review

Its a difficult issue to score because a comic is equal part art and writing. If it were separate rankings Id give the writing a 5 out of 5 and the art a 1. Read Full Review

A Comic Book Blog - Victor Kutsenok Apr 4, 2012

This issue, along with this entire story arc was complete and utter torture. The art was beyond horrendous. It was such a distraction that it made reading the issue a chore. I seriously think I got three nosebleeds and a case of vertigo from looking at it. Read Full Review
