I cannot make enough positive comments about this issue. Read Full Review
Dennis Hopeless Hallum brings the big-budget action movie vibe to the War of the Realms Event and this team fits that perfectly. Yea, it favors big explosions and pop culture references over a deep story, but if you dont mind that, there is a lot of fun to be had here. I had a blast and cant wait for more! Read Full Review
I'm truly shocked by how fun this book is. The mix of characters is absolutely perfect, and the overall tale is worth reading. Read Full Review
If you're wanting more War from your Avengers, or a little more story from the main series, this issue is fairly worth your time, despite being more or less unnecessary. Read Full Review
If you love Deadpool buy this book as he's captured very well. As tie-in series go you could skip it, but it's a good time with plenty of action. Why not relent and take in some War Avengers? Read Full Review
War Of The Realms Strikeforce: The War Avengers #1 succeeds in its mission to throw tough Avengers into tough fights. It's also got some heart thanks to Captain Marvel and a surprising amount of humour thanks to Deadpool. It doesn't disappoint, but it's a little too safe to force its way into must-read territory. This could easily wait for a post-event discount roundup, particularly for budget-conscious readers. Read Full Review
A much better issue then the previous Strikeforce one shot as the art is great and the team is intriguing. My biggest complaint is that Deadpool is featured way too much and some of his panel time could’ve gone to guys like Sif, Weapon H, Venom, and Black Widow.
Not a must read like the others Strikeforce one-shots but a fun one-shot. Didn't like the change in the art.
Didn't like this as much as the previous issue, but it wasn't bad.
I read it on release day and read it again on MU 6 months later and forgot literally everything about it in between; that's really all I need to say.
It's explained in a couple of the pages here how Malekith got a hold of the Necroblade which he used out of nowhere in one of the main War of the Realms issues. So it almost feels like essential reading because of that alone, but the rest of the book is easily to justify skipping unless you just want to see more combat or Deadpool. I think Hopeless captured Deadpool's voice accurately.
This had some fun lines and moments and was otherwise okay.
