How much of Xforce connects to the Beast plot line?
I wanted more action, but what IS here IS stellar.
Great start.
HICKMAN AND CAPULLO JOIN FORCES FOR A WOLVERINE EPIC LIKE NO OTHER!
Greg Capullo makes his grand return to Marvel Comics storytelling as he and Jonathan Hickman pit WOLVERINE against a cadre of foes who will turn his world upside down! He's been beaten! He's been bloodied! And LOGAN only has one thought on his mind: REVENGE! Don't miss this pre...
Great art.

Perfect fight comic.
TARGET: DEADPOOL AND OMEGA RED!
WOLVERINE's quest for vengeance leads him from old friends to old enemies - with death in his hands! Jonathan Hickman and Greg Capullo take LOGAN to the brink - setting the stage for the next unbelievable chapter. Trust us - you'll never guess where this one leads.
RATED PARENTAL ADVISORY.
Great start all around, I already like the characters.
Series Premiere. Sam and Duncan LaMarr love their six-year-old daughter, Penny, more than anything in the whole world. But half a year ago, she was taken by the Cascade, an evil force they barely understand. Now, Sam and Duncan must fight side by side with the magical beings Penny cherished to try and get her back... before she's gone...
I enjoyed this a lot, I just hoped for more progress. I was hoping for a Sinister Six throw down for arc 2, but that is clearly not in the cards at this pace.
THE SHOCKING CONCLUSION OF THE ULTIMATE OPENING ARC!
Spider-Man must finally confront the head honcho himself: Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin! Kingpin, as owner and operator of the Daily Bugle, has been working with the Maker's Council to control the spread of information in their favor... Which means he's the first domino that must be toppled to end...
What’s here is great, I was just disappointed that only half of the book is the main story. $10 is a lot for this much Green Goblin art, even art as top notch as this.
GUESS WHO'S BACK?!
THE GREEN GOBLIN RETURNS in this landmark and massive issue of ASM that boasts not only a double-sized main story but some instant Spider-Man classics by legends and legends to be! The Sins of Norman Osborn have found their way home and Norman shows his true color - green. But is it truly that simple? Spidey and Gobby's brut...
Impressed by how they maintained pacing after the preceding arc finale.
The new artist is great.
NEW STORY ARC
WHO WILL LEAD THE DECEPTICONS?
After last issue's shocking ending, Starscream and Soundwave battle for leadership-and the result will change the Decepticons forever. And the Autobots learn they may have more allies than they imagined...
JORGE CORONA joins DANIEL WARREN JOHNSON to begin the Energon Universe stor...
I was impressed with the art, and I thought the writing was strong in the brevity department; both ideal for a story focused on monoliths like Galactus and Doom.
It wasn’t quite what I expected, but isn’t it sometimes better that way?
Ultimately, worth $7 imo, even if it doesn’t end up being a Key issue.
IN THE NEAR FUTURE...DOOM ALONE MUST SAVE THE MARVEL UNIVERSE!
Legendary creators Jonathan Hickman (ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, G.O.D.S.) and Sanford Greene (Bitter Root) send Doctor Doom on a journey unlike any he has undertaken before! With Valeria Richards at his side, Doom goes on a quest to harness more power than any human has ever wielded befor...
Solid writing, great art.
One page was particularly cool for Wolverine.
Look for the variant cover.
WADE WILSON AND LOGAN AT THE ENDS OF THE EARTH - AND EACH OTHER'S THROATS!
The most intensely mismatched team-up in comics and pop culture - the best there is and the merc with the mouth - undergoes a radical change as we kick off a three-part, globe-spanning saga for the ages! The mysterious DELTA believes in change. Change is good. But as he...
I’m not afraid to overhype it. It’s just a comic, but it’s a well executed comic.
Make sure these picture aren’t stuck together, and get ready for some solid sequences. The bar was set higher and higher each issue, and DWJ somehow still had more fuel to elevate with.
I even felt the cover for 7 added to my enjoyment of the ending… that’s a rare treat to help wit more
END OF ARC
ONE WILL STAND, ONE WILL FALL.
The Autobots vs. The Decepticons.
This is it.
And someone isn't going to survive.
Crazy pumped for the finale, I’m glad I waited for it to release before reading the penultimate, too. The wait would’ve been rough.
All I’ll say is that I looked up a toy on eBay afterwards before even starting 6. Look for cover B ;)
Starscream revives one of the most powerful Decepticons to eliminate the Autobots once and for all.
I’m impressed by the nuance injected into Transformers, for crying out load.
I’ll leave it at that.
When the Decepticons attack the Autobots at their weakest moment, an unlikely new hero joins the battle! With human and Transformer robots lives at stake, can Optimus Prime unlock the true power behind the Matrix of Leadership to save them both?
All I’ll say is make sure your pages aren’t stuck together for this issue.
Like any great arc, the writer surprises by somehow continuing to simply outdo themselves again and again.
THE BIGGEST LAUNCH OF THE YEAR CONTINUES HERE!
Outnumbered and overpowered, it's time for the Autobots to stand their ground, as Optimus Prime goes to toe to toe with Skywarp!
Expected a slower issue after a nonstop first issue, but only got the bar raised further for the rest of the series.
This writer knows how to bring weight to a story about robot aliens that change into cars for some reason.
THE SMASH-HIT SERIES CONTINUES!
The Decepticons have been unleashed! As Optimus Prime and Autobots regroup, Starscream terrorizes humanity.
This issue features a surprising first Energon Universe appearance!
It’s great when a first issue can manage setup and momentous action.
Sometimes a writer/artist combo pays off beautifully, and this is a prime example.
SERIES PREMIERE
THE ALL NEW TRANSFORMERS ERA STARTS HERE!
Superstar creator DANIEL WARREN JOHNSON (DO A POWERBOMB, Wonder Woman: Dead Earth), alongside ENERGON UNIVERSE showrunner ROBERT KIRKMAN (VOID RIVALS, INVINCIBLE), reimagines Hasbro's robots in disguise for a brand-new generation.
Optimus Prime was supposed to have led the Autobo...
I great first issue for anybody that wants to see a trex fight a mech
The CEO of global energy conglomerate Greenleaf Oil has just discovered a terrifying secret: the planet only has a decade or less of petroleum left before it's gone forever. But he has a plan to make sure his great-great grandchildren can continue to generate maximum shareholder value – and secure his own legacy in the process. Rather than develo...
Now *this* is what I wanted from Legion of X. With the crossover forcing him to focus (and a better collaborator in the tireless Paco Medina), Spurrier returns to the heights he reached in Way of X. The bloated cast is pared down here to just Mother Righteous (the best and most interesting new idea in LoX, and this is her best appearance yet) and Vox Ignis (an idea I was skeptical of in LoX, but wmore
Ten years into a twisted future, MR SINISTER unleashes his private army of assassins: THE LEGION OF THE NIGHT. Meet WAGNERINE, commanding this killer crew of brainwashed hybrids, each one a genetic mix of NIGHTCRAWLER and another one of Marvel's most murderous mutants! Mysterious forces seek to break Sinister's control over these fatal fanatics - t...
These past two issues of Wolverine feel really connected to Percy's X-Force run, and I have found that enjoyable since it is moving the collective plot of both books forward. It is nice to see Domino back in action and challenging the current state of affairs with her team members, especially with Sage, who really needs some help, and Hank, who seems to have become a full-blown villian by the end more
ALL-NEW, ALL-SAVAGE WOLVERINE!
WOLVERINE's been sold out. BANNISTER's been duped. And when the dust settles, there's something...different about Logan. Wolverine's saga in the Krakoan era takes a savage turn with a decision - and a betrayal - that changes everything!
PARENTAL ADVISORY
Oh boy, I guess I gotta back track… are there any issues you’d recommend from X force as keys to this arc?
Well Beast has been on a downward slide ever since the beginning of X-Force, so starting there would allow you to see the decent as it gradually builds. Percy is the kind of writer that these kinds of things are slowly revealed over time so it will pop up in an issue for a page or two, then not be mentioned for a bit. Beast's behavior becomes really obvious in X-Force #34 though if you want to jump ahead to where the current stuff with Wolverine comes into play and continue from there.
It's because they hate Chip Zdarsky and believe that he interjects too much of his own beliefs into his work.
OK, thanks for your replies. I thought it must be something like that.
I want to catch up on Dr Stasis… can anybody recommend which issues of this series to collect just for that goal?
Thanks!
THE BEST LAID PLANS...
As the new X-Men team brings deals with a seemingly unstoppable foe, one X-Man wrestles with the fact they've gone way too far, and another is shaken by unexpectedly getting exactly what they'd no longer allowed themselves to dream of.

Great art, great pacing, impressive writing.
I can already tell that I’m gonna reread this book at least 100 times in my life.
FROM THE MIND OF TRADD MOORE!
Doctor Strange awakens alone in a distant world not his own. Lost of purpose and surrounded by danger, the wandering sorcerer must explore this land of blades and mystery to unravel arcane secrets and escape the deadly horrors that lie in wait! From the fantastical mind of creator Tradd Moore (SILVER SURFER: BLACK...
I picked up the first for the art alone, and was surprised by the writing. The second is continuing to bring depth to the writing that I didn’t expect.
How is this not more popular?
Books like this are why I don’t settle for tpbs and omnibuses.
Buy a copy for your collection, and a copy for your bedside. You’ll never grow tired of a revisit.
Doctor Strange joins forces with an all-new set of mystical heroes! But the treacherous Knights of the Body mean to make corpses of them all! BEWARE! What fresh terror awaits our heroes in the masked city of Sanc Nistos? A red river runs through the barbed bowels of the Body Machine, and all we have to hold onto are fragments and fearful chances!
I don’t know how you don’t grab a copy based on curb appeal alone.
The writing is only great, not fantastic, but that doesn’t hold the art and story overall from being fantastic.
Tradd Moore can do no wrong.
Doctor Strange is pulled in every direction by powerful figures while millions of lives rest in the balance - including his own! Yalda, Sophia, Bythos or himself: who should Strange serve? Who can he trust? Can this world's deadly ritual be stopped? Or is the answer simply?BLOOD? Heaven help us; it must be blood.

Bought based on the B cover and a flip through, and wasn’t disappointed. I haven’t been keeping up, but sometimes I don’t mind just cherry picking the payoff issue
The Myrmidons are unloosed. The traitorous mole is revealed. Bond and Rook fight to the death.
Which other Ewing stories does this tie back to?
Thanks!
IT'S ALL LED UP TO THIS!
In the blazing ruins of the Autumn Palace, Storm battles for the soul of Arakko! Meanwhile, Abigail Brand and Roberto Da Costa play their last cards-and a sinister hand deals the Ace of Spades. You won't believe where the Brotherhood goes from here...

Is it just me, or does the ending of 6 and beginning of 7 leave a substantial gap?
Is there a tie in that I missed that covers *that* story beat?
FINAL JUDGMENT FOR THE RED PLANET! - AN A.X.E. TIE-IN! As the dust settles and the costs are counted, change is coming to Arakko - starting at the top. After the catastrophic war with the Eternals, the Great Ring declares that ISCA THE UNBEATEN is no longer fit for the Seat of Victory. But Isca's power is never to lose. If she won't step down...is ...
Yes, you need to be reading the Judgement day mini series to understand the story in between the gaps.
I think I just didn’t expect the 2 page scene in AXE 4 to be the full resolution for Uranos. And, seeing Uranos on the cover of next week’s Legion, I’m guessing Ewing wants Spurrier to finish his setup. I’ll withhold my judgement until then ;)
I really, really like the art.
Felicia Dance is hiding in plain sight. The provocative social media star and shock TV sensation has one of the most recognizable faces in the world-so she can't capture and kill the butchers who murdered her little brother and experimented on Felicia like a lab rat when she was a child. Not unless she looks like someone else. The face of justice i...
It’s nice that the baton from Hickmann landed in Gillen’s hands. I liked the Eternals, and I like this so far.
IN THE QUIET COUNCIL, NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM!
The Quiet Council rules the Krakoan age, for better... or worse. Now, shaken by INFERNO and X LIVES / X DEATHS OF WOLVERINE they strive to hold together, no matter how much they want to tear each other apart. Writer Kieron Gillen (UNCANNY X-MEN, ETERNALS, The Wicked + The Divine, Die) retur...
