North's Doom is the best Doom has been since Hickman wrote the character, and this issue shows a lot of that off. The battle at the center of the book is an exciting fight, but the art pumps the brakes on reader excitement. Silva and Curiel have been a good team throughout this book so far, but their art in this one has a million little problems that hurt the fight. There are still some great visuals in this issue, but the art's problems drag the rest of the book down. Read Full Review

Plot DORMAMMU takes advantage of the planet Earth being unprotected from the enchantments Doctor Strange so carefully maintained. Doctor Doom has become distracted, using the title of Sorcerer Supreme to his own advantage. The first thing DORMAMMU does is send all the heroes or beings capable of standing against him to a pocket dimension. Doctor Doom confronts him by casting several spells that complete slowly and uses the Eye of Agamotto in various, more creative ways, creating claw-like weapons and energy blasts with its light. But inadvertently, DORMAMMU acquires the Eye of Agamotto, and the fallen Doom manages to complete his spell, bringing back all the heroes from the pocket dimension to fight DORMAMMU. You can enjoy this as a standalone issue. The writing nails the voices, and the action is very well illustrated.

Now I'm one of the pro-Doomers... IM IN LOVE WITH DOOM AND THIS MINI SERIES! Like Holy hell Doom really gets thrown around and beaten like a piece of meat by Dormammu. Having no options and being seconds away from oblivion Doom conjures up his last respite. He frees all of Earth's heros from Dormammu's crumbling pocket dimension and sics them after him. This is the final battle, life or oblivion, and this is End Game levels of epic here but with Doom at the helm I love this. The last page where Doom is injured and all the heroes come charging from behind him is classic and elevates Doom to a whole new level omg...

So far the best issue in the series. Maybe Ryan North can't write literally any other character besides Doom and Dormammu.. although they kinda have the same voice.

Far and away the best issue of this story so far. Rather than focusing on the heroes acting like total morons, we get a great issue of two arrogant power houses fighting with Doom never accepting defeat when all hope looks lost. My only issue was Doom resorting to magically using the heroes powers was too cheesy and Doom would find that beneath him.
