Although their minds have been wiped clean, Batman and Superman remain their heroic selves. Judging by this issue, it's going to be an exciting journey to see them reclaim their minds and battle the evil that lies waiting in the (bat)wings. The portents of dastardly doings to come are enough to wrangle any reader into this well-written and gorgeously drawn and colored book. Batman Superman #13 is an exciting issue. I do suggest buying this if you enjoyed the first four issues of Batman Superman, along with the crossover First Contact. With a dark force watching behind the scenes, you definitely anticipate what's to come in the next issue. Read Full Review

Pak manages to perfectly capture the boy scout charms of Superman and the devil-may-care attitude of Batman and it's almost a shame that these characters will have to go back to normal eventually. Jae Lee returns to illustrate and while so much of his style works so well with a lot of story here, there are times when his Gotham is just a bit too stylized for comfort and comes off as a Seussian nightmare. Despite the fact that this issue didn't do much to advance the plot of the series, and the few small art issues, I absolutely LOVED this comic book. A really good comic allows you to see yourself in the characters, and lets you live out fantasies through the characters on the page. Pak takes everything one might expect in a Batman/Superman book and subverts it just enough to make it more interesting than you'd expect. When those ideas are paired with such exceptional artwork it's easy to be smitten with "Batman/Superman" #13 and excited for this new arc. Read Full Review

Batman/Supermanpicks up where it left off many months ago. For some, it may be a bit of a problem understanding all that's happened if previous issues aren't consulted. For others who loved the first arc, it will be a happy continuation in the study of what makes Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent "tick". Lois Lane is on a train, making a stop in Gotham to interview a Mr. Mangubat, who is claiming that he was wrongly imprisoned. He has a robot try to kidnap her inside the train, and another that takes over the train. However, Superman and Catwoman appear and save her, but he doesn't know who she is talking about, because he has no memory. Read Full Review
