Also thought the transition from a skyscraper blowing up to Talia at Wayne Manor was a little abrupt. With issue ten, I believe I said something along the lines of I was ready for the shit to hit the fan, for things to explode, or whatever figure of speech I chose at the time... this issue delivered on that. This was just an action packed, crazy issue, with superb art. As a conclusion to a story that Morrison has been telling on and off over the course of seven years, this last issue before the climax has not missed a step. The writing is superb as always and Morrison gets to briefly explore a side of Batman that has never been seen before while finally getting to tie everything together to lead into the last issue. The art is simply wonderful and Burnham gets to let loose with a raw Batman that is full of rage and doesn't have anything left to hold back. As we come close to the end of Morrison's tenure it's kind of bittersweet. I've been loving the story since it's beginnings, and while I want to see how it all ties up, I'm still scared of a world without Grant Morrison writing Batman. This title is pure Morrison and, finally, pure Burnham. This is what this title was supposed to be. For those that have stuck around, the biggest issue is yet to come, and here's to hoping that the team sticks the landing, but considering their pedigree, it's hard to imagine that it won't be a finale for the ages. If you have been following this series, you'll be happy with this issue. The ending is in sight based on the last pages of this issue. Personally, I don't want this to end. From the beginning, we have been taken on a fantastic ride through the Batman universe that only Grant could tell, Chris Burnham on pencils was just the icing on the cake. There have been great Batman teams before and Morrison/Burnham belong on the list of those great teams. These two working together just make a good fun comic that I am glad to read every month. Who hasn't wanted to see Batman cut loose a little? This issue delivers some savage Batman fighting which unfortunately doesn't last long enough. Talia's plan is continuing to unfold and you can feel the end is near. Rather than start tying up all the loose ends, Morrison actually unleashes some more surprises that will put you on the edge of your seat. Batman Inc. is almost over, so when we get issues like these, it's almost unfair to judge it on one issue alone. It doesn't progress the story as much as I would have liked, nor does it have the depth of previous installments but the artwork is stunning and the fight scene between Batman and Heretic is worth the price of admission. If you've been keeping up with Batman, Inc. then you're going to be entertained by this. Chris Burnham gets to pencil the whole book this time around, which is an awesome change of pace from the divided artist duties we have had the past few issues. His action scenes are glorious, especially the aforementioned battle between Batman and a genetically-enhanced super Damian. There is, however, a sparse feeling to some of the pages. Too many missing backgrounds, too many empty looking panels. It gives the book a rushed look that hurts the overall package. Read Full Review

Batman Incorporated #12 was another good entry in Grant Morrisons Batman epic. The battle between Batman and the Damian clone was intense and was properly framed with progression from all the characters involved in this story. Morrison was even able to turn the Spyral sub-plot into something that I am eagerly anticipating to see how it is resolved. The level of violence in the last half dozen pages did take some of the punch away from the ending and held this issue back from being as great other issues in the series are. That said I am still excited for whatever Morrison has planned for the ending. The next issue is where everything ends and I cannot wait to get my hands on the final chapter to Morrisons Batman epic. It just really felt like a letdown. The lack of emotional attachment to anyone didn't do it any favors either. Talia didn't care for Leviathan, Batman didn't, and just about everyone else would rather see him dead. Just seemed like a fight with an empty shell of a villain and in some ways that just felt like a turn off from the very beginning. Hopefully the conclusion or what comes next may make up for this lackluster climax because I'd hope this isn't the best Morrison can do with this story. Read Full Review

Finally seeing Leviathan's face was. . . interesting, as was the generally reactions of characters. I will say I'm not to keen on Morrison giving us more mystery's with this woman, or what I'm assuming is a woman running a larger international criminal take down group. Unfortunately, not only is the outcome of this "final battle" between Batman and Leviathan a foregone conclusion, but after all the possible buildup that Morrison has built over years and years of storytelling... all we get is a fistfight? Granted, Batman's reckoning with Talia will finally unfold next issue, but aside from the Heretic's final fate, this feels a little too easy, a little underdeveloped.
