Fresh out of lockup, Selina Kyle is ready to make new moves. She won't be working alone, as more and more Gotham criminals are drawn to her philosophy, but she's not the only Cat on the streets. Eiko Hasigawa's got a Catsuit of her own, and their plans to change Gotham forever won't work if they can't get along. Did someone say catfight?
Gotham City's various cats are on the prowl, ready to make their biggest moves yet against the crime forces they've been aiming for all this time. Another gorgeous, sexy, emotionally powerful entry into this must-read series that continues Selina Kyle's rise to her rightful place amongst the DC pantheon. Read Full Review
Its the style that really sells the series more than anything else. Theres a real sense of urgency about the action, even if the overall framing of the story lacks some degree of satisfying definition. Catwoman has been through a lot over the course of the past few years. Howard has a distinct perspective on Selina and her world that has been enjoyable thus far, but there hasnt been enough time with any one element of that world to fully explore its potential. Catwoman #55 leaves us wondering and fearing for our hero's safety. It seems as though she has fewer allies than she imagined, but I personally have faith in DC's greatest thief (although these days, she's probably more like DC's greatest anti-hero). This issue's story and character driven, and very thoughtful. The action's vibrant and gripping, the plot layered, and the artwork is on the right side of realistic to my taste. Many ongoing titles should learn from Catwoman Read Full Review
It's a chaotic issue, but while its heroes are fun, most of its villains largely come off like stock mob characters who don't make a big impression. Read Full Review
The latest chapter of Catwoman starts out as something decidedly snappy and promising, before falling into a new version of the same old song. Read Full Review
Catwoman #55 offers some hope that Tini Howard's run can regain focus and embrace its strengths instead of trying to shake up the formula too much. While I appreciate the series' attempts to diversify its setting and take a more insular approach, Howard and Nico Leon succeed more when keeping the storyline focused in Gotham City and examining its seedy underbelly. Howard and Leon's latest chapter in Catwoman's adventures is back to the main plot of the run, but a decreased coherence in the action, matching the continued incoherence of the writing, leaves the book still a mess. Read Full Review
I'm not a huge fan of everything here, but I am interested to see where the series goes from here in terms of the story with Federico and Roman. When Howard initially took over this title, I was really enjoying the story she was telling with Selina and the different crime families. I'm really hoping that this is the start of this series getting back to the quality of that initial storyline.
I really want this title to have a fresh start. Even with Tini Howard at the helm. I don't think she's a bad writer, it's just that the place her run has gone is simply not that interesting to me.

after the horribly written events of Catwoman meets Orange is the New Black, Selena is somehow now out of prison and not getting hunted as an escaped convict. Eiko after risking her life as Catwoman has Selena tell her that she can't be Catwoman anymore. She teaches Tomcat how to fight...sort of. This is just another bad issue. I may be dropping it.
A bit of imrprovement from last issues because finally sth happened, the most problem i have with this issue is the same i had with issue 50 you just cant say how much you miss a man how much he meant to you but come out and say your in love with sb else and still are this is so weird and selina in this issue accepted the fact that when she wanted to start things with valmont she was in love with bruce and knew its not gonna work out but she did it anyway it just shows how idiot she is and how insensitive she can be in the matter of love
But all things said if you cut out all valmonts plots i could really at least give it a 7 out of 10 but now 4 is just enough
Stop self-inserting tini. No one cares about your disgusting OC. Not the fat one or the creep with no boundaries.
And goddamn this dialogue is atrocious. Imagine being paid to write this garbage.
Save yourself the pain and dont read it. This run has no point and this issue does nothing to help it. Art is where all my points go to. The writing is 0/10.
Let us all rejoice for there shall be a catfight...next issue...between Noah and Dario...what the f@#$?
This issue, however, is filled with more bad dialogue, more bad references to He Who Shall Not Be Named, and Black Mask, with a new uglier mask. And apparently the most inept mobsters I've ever seen.
For the love of all that is holy, please stop the assassination of Selina Kyle.
