Stripped of their weapons by a xenophobic culture, the duo will have to battle to regain them - but what happens when Space Ghost dons the Emerald Ring and Hal Jordan put on the Power Bands? And in the backup feature, Ruff and Reddy were once the toast of nightclubs, variety shows, late night chat fests and Broadway. Newsarama - Justin Partridge Mar 29, 2017

Fans of Lethal Weapon and shows like Life on Mars will find a lot to love about the Green Lantern/Space Ghost Annual. James Tynion IV, Christopher Sebela, and Ariel Olivetti really go for the gusto here and it pays off big time thanks to their tight scripting, snappy banter, and sweeping science fiction visuals. Team-up books like this are usually a mixed bag, but thankfully the Green Lantern/Space Ghost Annual #1 quickly stakes a claim to being the exception to the team-up slump. Read Full Review

This is an awesome team up that shows that these types of events can be done extremely well. Green Lantern/Space Ghost is a shining example that more of these team ups should definitely be considered, as long as the quality measures up to the standard set by this issue. Read Full Review

With Hal Jordan and Space Ghost fighting and then inevitably teaming up, who doesn't want to see Chip in space? Match that with some amazing art and this is an all around good read. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Mar 29, 2017

Green Lantern/Space Ghost sounded promising when it was announced, and the finished product doesn't disappoint. This issue forges a strong bond between the two space cop heroes and manages to tell a poignant story that avoids recycling too many of the usual crossover tropes. And for fans of the 2005 Space Ghost mini-series, it's almost like getting a sequel. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Oz Longworth Mar 30, 2017

The fact of the matter is that, as far as I'm concerned, DC is leaving money on the table in not giving us a whole buddy cop graphic novel of these two testosterone-ing each other to death while saving the universe. This book alone justifies DC's whole Hanna-Barbera line of comics. Read Full Review

In the end Space Ghost/Green Lantern is a fun crossover with future possibilities. If it wasn't for the Ruff and Ready backup and the hefty price tag it could be considered a near perfect comic. Let's hope we get more down the line. Read Full Review

When it comes to stories like this one, I tend to gauge how much fan service there is and for my money there could have sneaked in a few more references, but the ones that are there should be enough to satisfy any fan of either series, especially when you see Space Ghost handled a Green Lantern ring and actually struggling to use it. Green Lantern/Space Ghost gave almost gave me enough of what I wanted, I wasn't a big fan of the art, but I can appreciate good storytelling when it's right in front of me. If you're a fan of either characters, do yourself a favor and pick this issue up as well. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Reggie Hemingway Mar 29, 2017

A reasonably touching story and some unbelievably great artwork makes for one solid issue of a comic book. This one, specifically. Don't know if I want too much more of it, but I liked what we got. Howard Chaykin does a story in the back which will probably make you want to smoke cigarettes. This is a weird comic book and only bonafide weirdos need apply. Read Full Review

A well told super hero team up story that doesn't devolve into clich with a relatively hopeful ending. Gorgeously rendered artwork draws you in and keeps you looking from panel to panel to catch all the fine detail. Read Full Review

Green Lantern / Space Ghost Special #1 is the fun mashup that I'd hoped it would be while also being a thought provoking tale.  While the special is a good read the team up of Hal Jordan and Space Ghost is one which could have more legs if given the opportunity.  For the cost of the issue I'd rather have had more of this team up than the "Ruff N' Reddy" backup story that I really didn't care about or enjoy.  Eight out of ten lanterns. The Pop Break - Andrew Fontana Mar 29, 2017

Green Lantern/Space Ghost Special #1 is pretty straightforward as far as crossovers go. The creative team of James Tynion IV and Ariel Olivetti squeeze all they can out of a Green Lantern/Space Ghost team-up, and the result is a surprisingly good read. Read Full Review

Nerds On The Rocks - Logan Dalton Mar 29, 2017

Green Lantern/Space Ghost Special is a pretty nifty space parable meets superpowered buddy cop adventure. The art isnt the greatest fit, but James Tynion and Christopher Sebela turn in an interesting, yet wordy script that is entertaining, humorous, and will inspire you to tear off your own intellectual shackles and learn more around the world around you. The comic demonstrates that superheroes and philosophy go better than Oreo cookies and chocolate milk, or an episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and an early morning hangover. Also, the next Hanna-Barbera crossover should be Larfleeze/Zorak, who make funny cameos in an early double page spread. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp Apr 5, 2017

The issue works for the unusual team-up of Space Ghost and Hal Jordan, both while fighting each other and, for a short period of time, using each other's technology. The story's lack of subtlety gets in the way, but the art by Christopher Sebela is pretty damn good. Worth a look. Read Full Review

This entire comic has some issues, which makes me hesitant to recommend spending dollars on it. There's just not enough new in the main story to really make it stand out and the backup is a lot of build-up to get to the point. Read Full Review

When I read the first issue of Future Quest, I noticed that Space Ghost was very close to Green Lantern. I thought that a cross-over would really please me. Well, here we are!

This issue is remarkably original. The interactions between those two space-policemen is definitely the best part of the issue and both characterizations are successful. The art is also incredible and peculiar. It fits well with the tone and the environments of story. Now, the only thing I could ask for is a Space Ghost solo series!

This issue was the best Hanna Barbera crossover that was released this week, with a great team up between two of the greatest members of their respective universes. It had a perfect amount of tomfoolery with true emotional development.
