Blüdhaven explodes in violence as a riot erupts in the streets. Ric can't face this alone, so he'll have to enlist the support of the Nightwings. Meanwhile, Talon has taken Bea captive to lure Ric into his grasp and reintroduce him (for the first time, in Ric's memory) to the Court of Owls.

The individual issues on this title always seem a little short. But that may be because I am so invested in what is happening. The writing on this is excellent and it works very well with the art. I'm interested to see how this storyline will resolve itself. Let's see what happens! Read Full Review

Weird Science - Eric Shea Sep 18, 2019

Ric Grayson confronts his past and the awful people of Bludhaven this issue and while the tension is ramping up with his friends being attacked by William Cobb, it's still bogged down with the over the top recap that this series has relied on to fill out its page count.  There's still fun to be had with some awesome art, I just wish we could get more progression with each issue. If you're going to take a superhero out of his comfort zone and give him a brand new status quo, you'd better have the "story beat chops" to back it up. Unfortunately, Nightwing's latest issue is a mess from top to bottom in that regard. Read Full Review

The story has several solid action sequences, with dynamic art. Bea shows us her courage, yet another reason to root for her, and Talon is appropriately menacing. Unfortunately, Ric is an even jerkier ingrate than before, and that's a deal breaker. Read Full Review

Making the best of a bad situation!

Ric is still Ric, so for those only for that bit, move on folks.

Okay, anyone else still here? You, there, still there? Okay.

Nightwing is pretty good right now, and considering the situation it got itself into, that's quite a load of work to do. I'm still impressed by the way Jurgens writes the dynamics and relationships between the four Nightwings.

About Ric, I think he's on the start to realize himself again. Maybe not fully as Dick Grayson, but as Nightwing. Something that I'll take at least.

Eh it is okay for what it is. I am predicting now that this isn't Dick Grayson, but someone who thinks he is and Dick was replaced while in the hospital.

    Prelude:
Well, I've been hating Ric. Jurgens has been keeping me somewhat interested so it's a constant struggle where at worst I can give it a 5.5 or best a 7. Hmm... let's see how this one goes.

    The Good:
Talon remains a strong threat which has been lost over the years. He was also the original Talon that gave Bruce a run for his money back in Court of Owls so it makes sense.

    The Bad:
Ric Grayson. Why is this a thing? Why is it STILL a thing? I mean, literally every story told since he became Ric would have served better and been more interesting, had they not happened. It's not like it would take much reworking of the story to do so either.

    Conclusion:
In the end, I have to give it a 5 more

Not even the rock solid Dan Jurgens can get any more out of this distended 'Ric' nonsense. Reading this book has just become a chore.

"When I was shot in the head, I forgot who I was. I knew people, now I don't. I can't love someone I don't know. I only love people I know. I was Nightwing. But ever since I was shot in the head, I haven't been Nightwing. But now I am Nightwing, with a team of Nightwings. Who am I? Ric or Dick Grayson? Ever since I was shot in the head, I haven't known."

Oh wow wait did Nightwing lose his memory? Forget about his life as Nightwing? No longer feel connected to his old family? Doesn’t know who he WAS, only knows who he IS? Guys I wish someone had said something, I had no idea.

Not the first time this been said, but ENOUGH OF THIS STUPID RIC GARBAGE!

    And enough of the "nightwings"!

Bring back Dick Grayson as Nightwing and back as the hero he's always been.

I would not recommend this title to anyone, it's mediocre at best and no fun at all since "ric" was made. DC needs to get rid of this guy because he's already existed for far too long.

The best thing the creative team dead is include Talon in the mix. He's the only character that's not infinitely irritating and is actually god at what he does.

The so-called "nightwings" continue to be as ineffective as they can be, with "nightwing blue"'s single distinguishing trait is he sucks so much more than the others he's continually left out of commission. Seeing his sister "gold" so readily want to drop the costume when she was the one enjoying being a Nightwing the most is shows how little car is put into these characters. Not more
