Blüdhaven explodes in violence as a riot erupts in the streets. Ric can't face this alone, so he'll have to enlist the support of the Nightwings. Meanwhile, Talon has taken Bea captive to lure Ric into his grasp and reintroduce him (for the first time, in Ric's memory) to the Court of Owls.

The individual issues on this title always seem a little short. But that may be because I am so invested in what is happening. The writing on this is excellent and it works very well with the art. I'm interested to see how this storyline will resolve itself. Let's see what happens! Read Full Review

She expressed how she's supposed to take care of Zak because he's her younger brother. Maybe the combination of that belief and the fact she essentially ignored his warnings are what led to this outburst. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Eric Shea Sep 18, 2019

Ric Grayson confronts his past and the awful people of Bludhaven this issue and while the tension is ramping up with his friends being attacked by William Cobb, it's still bogged down with the over the top recap that this series has relied on to fill out its page count.  There's still fun to be had with some awesome art, I just wish we could get more progression with each issue. If you're going to take a superhero out of his comfort zone and give him a brand new status quo, you'd better have the "story beat chops" to back it up. Unfortunately, Nightwing's latest issue is a mess from top to bottom in that regard. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Nancy Northcott Sep 18, 2019

The story has several solid action sequences, with dynamic art. Bea shows us her courage, yet another reason to root for her, and Talon is appropriately menacing. Unfortunately, Ric is an even jerkier ingrate than before, and that's a deal breaker. Read Full Review
