Jun 24, 2026The story is great, the art is stunning, and it’s a trial by fire for Superboy Prime that makes me more confident than ever that this character is actually here to stay. Just an amazing turnaround for this once-hated figure. Read Full Review

Jun 24, 2026Superman #39 is a can’t-miss issue for this Spring’s biggest event. This issue sets up exciting new things for the DC Universe. This is an all-star creative team, and it feels like they are not holding back their talents at all with this arc. Read Full Review

Jun 24, 2026This is the fourth issue in a row of Superman that I’ve showered with unfettered praise, and frankly it’s only getting better. Joshua Williamson and Dan Mora are building a legendary arc that perfectly incorporates elevated meta commentary with a relatively simple and heartfelt character arc about trying to be better. It’s full of brilliant writing and some of the best art that you can find in a comic book. I can’t think of a reason to not read this book, but if there was one, there sure isn’t anymore. Mora and Sanchez’s art dances through so many different styles with no missteps. What an impressive experience! This is definitely not your average Superman issue! Read Full Review

I read this book mostly because of the art, since I’m not a great Superman fan. I don’t even know who Superboy-Prime is.
Dan Mora is one of those extraordinary artists who can just switch between different styles and be great at all of them. Actually, looking through the pages of this book, I think his Manga-inspired default style - which shines through in all the other styles, and which is probably the reason I don’t follow him regularly - isn’t even his best. I was most enamored with his romance comic pages with their more traditional drawing style and organic linework. Also, the Flash-Gordon-esque panel really intrigued me. I miss this capability for drawing anatomically correct in modern comics.

Williamson and Mora continue to deliver a Fun and ridiculous book each month. This is why I read comics. I don’t want be preached too. I want fun and heroism. This book delivers it all. I hope when Clark does return we continue this story in a solo series with the same team. I’d buy that also. Bravo to these amazing talents who appear to be having a blast making this title. 10/10. This book is that good.
