Hill House Comics
The Dollhouse has taken away another piece of Alice's soul...but this time she's not running away. This time she's going to uncover the secret of the House's terrible birth...and use that knowledge to destroy it once and for all!
The Dollhouse Family #5 is another excellent addition to the ever growing excellence that is Hill House Comics. I simply can't recommend this finely crafted work of gory fun enough. Read Full Review
The Dollhouse Family really ups its game with this issue. I will admit I fell off a bit around issue #3 or #4, but this one more than makes up for it. It's an absolutely terrifying comic that shocked and scared me. I've been trying to rank the Hill House Comics titles for a bit, but it's proving to be an impossible task with how solid each book has been. Read Full Review
This year has produced some great titles already, and this is one of my favourites. I cant find fault with anything this team has produced so far, and I think that its going to take something very special to knock The Dollhouse Family out of my top 3 comics this year. Read Full Review
Carey is writing one hell of a strong story here. He swings for the fences throughout and really has put together a great story with well developed characters. I can't wait to see how he finishes this. Read Full Review
Gross and Locke perfectly capture the mood and tone of this story in the art. The characters look amazing and the style is perfect with some beautifully laid out panels that capture the eye. Read Full Review
The Dollhouse Family #5, the penultimate issue of Carey and Gross' original cross-generational chiller delivers in the answers we're looking for, even if it's at the cost of some of the chills we're used to getting in every issue. Read Full Review
A quiet issue full of revelations and demonic surprises. Read Full Review
This chapter might not have as many horrifying reveals as its predecessors, but as the narrative starts to become more clear, readers will be relieved to see all the disparate threads starting to weave together for a perplexing and disturbing storyline. Read Full Review
This is another very good issue from this great overall story, although I did want more from it since we only have one issue left. We finally get to see who the Dollhouse Family is and why they're there, Alice decides to take on the house rather than the Dollhouse, and that last two pages were just a big "WTF, are you serious?" I don't know how this all can possibly wrap up with just one more installment, but I'm really looking forward to it. Read Full Review
The Dollhouse Family #5 does the job a penultimate issue is supposed to go, it got me excited for the conclusion, which was all I wanted it to do. Read Full Review
This series has by far been the best from Hill House. Issue 5 had me very engaged from the beginning. I really don’t know what will happen and it gets scary at points. Kudos on the whole team for an extremely well done story.
Finally she tries to find out more information about the dollhouse. She should have done that a long time ago. Still this issue does very well to build excitement for the conclusion.
I wish this was a lot less boring.
I found the beginning of this comic infuriating and that made it very hard to get through the rest of it. First: you do not have to wait any amount of time to report your minor child missing anywhere, don’t be fucking stupid. That’s the stupidest police myth and it needs to die. Second: why is she reporting her child missing? She knows that an evil dollhouse stole her kid. What are the police going to do? Exorcise the house?! When I got past that the rest of the issue was okay.
