Every story within this annual is fantastic with none I could call a clear winner. Every creative involved brings their A game and it is a fantastic issue for that. Read Full Review
The Terrifics Annual does a great job at not only furthering the series but also going back and adding to what we have already seen from previous issues. The writers do an awesome job at revisiting things we thought wed already seen and experienced just to give us a little more context and information to full flesh out those past scenes. Despite one of the backup stories being somewhat lacklustre, the main story lives up to the high standard set by Lemire in the main series, and the other backup was a fascinating look at one of the supporting cast. So overall, I would say this was a great issue and well worth reading. Read Full Review
While not directly linked to the main story, this was an enjoyable Annual that smartly was utilized to provide some more in depth look at the team and its prominent supporting cast. Read Full Review
THE TERRIFICS ANNUAL #1 gives us three different tales focusing on the team, Java, and Tom Strong. We get a lot of emotional moments, great action and gorgeous art. A great supplemental book to the main series! Read Full Review
This is a quality annual for a book that is very good. The stories are strong and the art on each of them is decent. And you can't ask for more than that. Read Full Review
All in all, The Terrifics is a love letter to all of the cool things that made the Terrifics such a fun cast of characters. While nothing status quo shattering was introduced, we instead got to see some nooks and crannies of the world with a little bit more light. Read Full Review
Three stories, three wins, but I don't think any of them are quite up to the level of the main series. Read Full Review
I do wish there had been at least one story by the real team behind the Terrifics, but the annual is still an entertaining read. Read Full Review
All three stories were paced well and had some really great art. Read Full Review
All around, this is probably the best issue of The Terrifics to date. Read Full Review
Three disparate stories of varying quality, each filling in some of what's been missing from the series. What would you call it? Color? Essence? Gravitas? Whatever it is, this issue adds a little more of that, but not enough to justify plunking down five bucks. Not by a long shot. Read Full Review
Masquerad start not really good but finish with a huge amont of drama. I loved reading this, and my earth echoing what the character fill. Much of the art are good, but with three inker you can have one less good, it's not that bad.
Origine of the Specious is really great. Not only we have Java Origine but that give him more charisma for the next step in the ongoing. And man I fill for him too. Doc Shanner is just beautiful.
Tom Strong - The signal is surprising and good. I had to confess I thinked that we never will see the encounter between Tom & the Giant. It's a strong (No pun intended) story, the art is just marvelous.
Cover - Like it & in link with the first story 2/2
Writing - Man two very good story & one more
First story was alright but the last to in my opinion really topped off this issue well. Three solid, self-contained stories that kind of had 50's sci-fi overtones (bodysnatchers, cavemen, proms, etc.). The one with Java was my favorite, it was hilarious. This might actually be my favorite annual I've read this year, surprising enough.
Three tales that explain backstory, give development and hint at future stories.
The first two stories were good. Although, the ideas presented in the first story were not fully realized and I wish they weren't glossed over. The second story was the best though, I didn't have any issues with it. The third story, however, I thought was extremely boring. If not for that, this would've been a great annual. I don't think it's coincidence that the story most directly associated with the main title's story is the boring one. That's my biggest issue with this series in general. It's boring and forgettable.
This was a bit of a mess, which is disappointing because I usually like this one.
