Timelines are colliding and this world seems like it's about to get much bigger. While much didn't seem to happen this issue, way more occurred than it seems. Something big is coming, and as much as Geiger likes to pretend he doesn't care, he can't seem to stop fighting. Maybe it's all just a distraction, or maybe he still holds onto hope. Read Full Review
GEIGER #20 operates as an ambitious pivot point that trades survival horror for temporal mystery while questioning whether the radioactive wasteland itself might be a consequence of well-intentioned manipulation. The issue earns a spot on your shelf if you're following the Unnamed universe's long game, particularly given how it recontextualizes Geiger's entire journey. This issue delivers enough intrigue and character weight to justify the purchase, even if it occasionally stumbles under the weight of its own mythology. Read Full Review
In the whole mystery of everything in The Unnamed Universe continues to be the gravity that holds it all together. It's really interesting to see just how much remains unrevealed with so many issues that have already been developed and released over the course of the recent years. This universe has been analyzed and explored from quite a few different ankles in quite a few few different issues. And yet there remains a mystery at the heart of it, all which continues to serve as a powerful pulse for the entire line of comics. Its an interesting experiment in storytelling. Read Full Review

Geiger receives Barney's rhodium-plated batons, which allow him to control his powers. Geiger decides to continue on his own path, without Nate, Molotov, Zebra, and Junkyard Joe—no more missions, just walking and dispensing his own brand of justice. But he is interrupted by colorful lights that summon THE NORTHERNER.
There is a brief intro to Geiger's tragedy that led him to leave the bunker he thought would protect his family.
Molotov, Nate, and Zig Zag await news of Geiger while defending themselves against soldiers who want to steal Junkyard Joe.

One of the best issues yet The Unknown War storyline looks like another masterpiece by Johns.
Really good issue. The Northerner is such a cool character and it's great to see his dynamic with Geiger.
The art of this is great, but it does take the story in a completely different direction. I only read Redcoat intermitantly so I had no idea who the Northerner was. I know that Geiger is an apocolypitic series, but it turned into complete sci-fi with the introduction of time travel and "drops" from some unnamed organization. I did chuckle at the last page, but the Northerner is now Sarah Conner trying to change the future. I'm not sure if I like this direction, but as a short run, it might be fine.
