END OF STORY ARC
Did Adam Osidis set out to save the world from the terror of the Mud King, or to save himself?
Don't miss the chilling finale to the second chapter of RICK REMENDER & JEROME OPEÑA's fantasy epic.
This issue of Seven to Eternitypops the reader right back into the main storyline of the series. Remender continues to weave an emotional sci-fi tale and with Opeaon art, the series just excels to a new level. Seven to Eternityreally makes the reader think throughout, about decisions, actions, and the things that influence us all to say or do the things throughout our lives. The series also delves into families and the relationships, while still delivering a really exciting sci-fi story. So incredibly good. What a series. One of my favourite issues ever.
This was one of the best issues of any series I've ever read. Such a compelling story, and Jerome Opena's art is in a league of its own. Stunning work from this creative team.
Phenomenal art, Opena is knocking it out of the park in this issue.
Gorgeous art. Great writing and story.
The art and storytelling in this issue are the best yet. Jermone is at the top of his game, Hollingsworth too. The 120 day wait will pay off with Opena's talent.
Things just got very real!!!
It's just a whole much better looking book and story with Opena and Hollingsworth. They bring Remender's ideas to life.
Probably the single best issue of the series so far. The final few pages are an absolute master class in comic book story telling. The entire confrontation with the White Witch was visceral, kinetic, and extremely well drawn and led to probably the best scene of the series up to this point, one that's masterfully framed by Opena for maximum juxtaposition.
Remender has really done a great job so far creating a compelling cast of characters in a world that continues to push toward the morally gray. The Mud King in particular is one of the most intriguing villain-types I've ever read. There's a layer of nuance, cleverness, and humor to him that makes it easy to see how he conquered Zhal primarily through whispers.
There more
This might have been my favourite issue yet of "Seven to Eternity." Jerome Opena returns to art after taking the last couple of issues off, and this is just a sight to behold--Opena's work is absolutely stunning. The story took a cool turn as well and hooked me, in a series where I have sometimes struggled to stay connected to. It feels like everything is coming together in a really exciting way here. Great issue, and I'm anxiously awaiting the next arc.
Opena's art is stunning and it really works with the story. The ending of this arc was great and I am still amazed of how Remender manages the flesh out the world with every issue yet still managing to move the story forward. It's a long wait until the next issue now, but I can bet that it's going to be worth the wait.
I was done with this book, but the reviews made me curious. This issue was much better than last.
While the art is magnificent, it looks like the story is running out of steam. The story become bogged down and is nowhere near as clever as the author thinks it is.
With the next issue not out until February, this looks to be a good jumping off point.
