Weird Science Marvel Comics - wolfcypher
Oct 17, 2019So here I am in a rare instance of admitting, yes, this isn't too essential of a read for your Absolute Carnage reading, buuuut it doesn't get in the way of the bigger picture, it doesn't jumble up the sequence of events or drops the ball on any continuity. It's extra, and"I liked it. If you have the time and you're wallet isn't starved, I'll just say its one of the safer, better, non-disruptive tie-ins this event has spawned. Read Full Review

Oct 16, 2019In conclusion all I can say is for completionists only. Had potential but got really lost along the way. I can’t recommend it. Read Full Review

ComicBook.com - Evan Valentine
Oct 16, 2019There's simply no reason for this comic to exist, offering no new information for readers that wasn't already gleamed in the main story arc and providing clunky, stilted dialogue in the process. Read Full Review

I usually enjoy comics written by Leah Williams, but this one is just not working for me. Other than that, Marvel's editors can not expect us to take both "Absolute Carnage" and "Contagion" seriously at the same time.

I liked this, despite some clunky dialogue. Especially the Hawkeye parts.

Hawkeye part was really good

I liked Hawkeye's part a lot but still feels just there.

I was genuinely looking forward to seeing how this team came together, and this digressive yarn was pretty disappointing. But it's not without highlights; the artist on the Hawkeye section (Alberto Alburquerque, I believe) shot the moon to make his pages look cool.

Pretty pointless but kind of fun and I really enjoyed the art.

Not bad, just unnecessary.

Prelude: Wow, reviewers didn't like this one. Well, let's see how I find it. The Good: Yeah, there's nothing that stands out as good, just mediocre. The Bad: Continuity is off, especially with Cap and his own story currently. Art is pretty poor. The symbioted people don't line up with what's established in the other books, especially the main story. It's a chore to read. Conclusion: Yeah, reviewers were right but due to my scale it's a 5. Nothing outright offensive to the characters but it's just a mediocre story.
