As Shay Marken once noted, Peters life may be a dumpster fire. But when Peter pulls a no-show, friends and villains shine in Amazing Spider-Man #11. Read Full Review

    SciFiPulse - Ian Cullen Sep 14, 2025

This is a solid bumper issue that digs deep into who Peter Parker is and what his values mean in practice. The panels of Peter back in New York, battling the imposter Spider-Man, are nicely executed and capture the tension of two different moral codes clashing. Out of the two stories, though, it's the second, more cosmic tale that stood out for me. It feels like we're meant to assume Peter was travelling with this alien group during the two-week gap he was missing something that was hinted at in the previous issue. That extra layer of context made the cosmic arc feel more compelling and gave it a sense of purpose beyond spectacle. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke Sep 3, 2025

Amazing Spider-Man #975 rises to the occasion with a celebratory issue that feels both reverent and forward-looking. Joe Kelly's scripts strike a balance between character history and new mysteries, while the dual art teams maintain visual quality across vastly different story settings. It's a dense package, sometimes uneven, but rarely dull, that manages to honor Spider-Man's past while pushing him into uncharted territory just in time for the road to #1,000. With cosmic stakes, bold new twists, and the promise of even bigger revelations, we're entering a brand new, ultra-exciting era for Spider-Man. Read Full Review

MICHAEL 9: What's truly special in what Kelly has done is take all the parts we love about Spider-Man and put a NEW twist on his story. After more than 60 years, this is VERY hard to do. He continues to shock and surprise us at a time when Spidey fans needed it most! Read Full Review

The big reveals in this issue don't amount to too much, I don't think, but they keep the story moving along nicely regardless. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez Sep 3, 2025

The comic is a prime example of style over substance, and the beautiful art cannot make up for the bad writing. It is a confusing, nonsensical story that is a chore to read and leaves you with more questions than answers. Read Full Review

Highly interested in the revelations of the first two stories. All the back ups were useless to me.

First story - Norman as Spider-Man, don't really care as much.

Second story - For YEARS I've had the idea that if Marvel is not willing to let Peter have a married life, then the best thing they could do for him -- BY FAR -- is to isekai him, and they actually did it minus him getting hit by a literal truck (Hellgate's fist is the truck here I guess)!

I don't know if Joe Kelly's run is going to be a new Spider-Man story for the ages, but all the opportunities are there, and they are exciting!

    I liked it.

That is my short and simple view on this. I liked both stories, I liked that this milestone issue was used to advance the plot and we know where we will head next.

I think this is the best I have seen Ben as Chasm. I am not still fan of the idea, but so far Kelly has made it work better than I saw in Wells run.

Pepe's art was amazing. JRJR was fine, but I missed Pepe.

What was a bit annoying was how slowly both of these plots move. I hope we will learn more in the future, how and why Ben picked up Peter's identity and learned what his world involves currently, how Norman decided to put on the suit and where Peter is. So far, 3 issues after Hellgate confrontation, the plot hasn't advanc more

I enjoyed the first story, JRJR was better than normal for the most part but I’m not excited he’s still here. Second story explained a lot and nothing at the same time, it was fine. The rest was an excuse to charge more money. It was fine but not needed.

The second story with Pepe Larraz art is pretty good, although I doubt that the average Spider-Man reader is interested in Peter having cosmic adventures. Anyway, it’s an 8 for me. The rest of the book is pretty much forgettable.

It makes no GD sense to have a character punch another character while yelling "SCIENCE!" if you didn't establish him actually doing something before he did it. Otherwise he may as well just be yelling a random word.

The main story is ho-hum. None of the characters are very likeable and the art is kind of generic.

The second story, the art gets WAY better but the story is likewise ho-hum. I've seen Space-Spider-Man before and it rarely ever worked.
