If you are reading the Coates run, you know that the plot makes sense and it's being developed since the begging with this idea. There is nothing cringe in the dialogue bubbles. It's a very good and inspiring reading, as well as extremely satisfying for those who were waiting for an end to the plot of this story. We all know that the issue with Coates is the delay in developing the narrative. The comic is good.

Sep 16, 2020Bob Quinn does some great work with the art in the issue. The story and its pace are geared towards action and Quinns art provides that in both the style of the art and the fast pacing of the panels. Read Full Review

Sep 22, 2020This issue takes a brief detour from the ongoing narrative for a deep dive into Sharon's psyche and it works pretty well, even if it seems to mean the end of Iron Patriot. Read Full Review

Sep 16, 2020While my previous criticisms of the art not being able to hold up to Coates' story still somewhat apply with this issue, the changing of narratives to Sharon Carter works wonders for the finale of the battle with Selene. Read Full Review

Finally Sharon Carter gains space she deserves in the Captain's America comics! an action-packed magazine from start to finish, with extremely beautiful and exciting dialogues to see, about the story of the most important female character in the Captain's stories. The magazine is messing with many men who are unable to see a woman claiming victory, but you can be sure, these people need to understand that everyone has their chance to shine. It's an inspiring magazine for anyone!

This arc has been terrific. Much improved over The Legend of Steve.

Alright, I don't mind Sharon Carter getting some space. I found this mostly enjoyable, but there was some... Interesting choices made with some of her inner dialogue. There's a page in particular that really doesn't work for me, but maybe it does for other people. Otherwise, I liked this.

Sharon fights a desperate endurance battle against Selene and triumphs. The art does strong work carrying the combat narrative while Sharon's monologue dives deep into her head. But I still say the visuals are the weak point here; those cartoony expressions just can't keep up with the script. It's a good comic but not a great one, and I think some more evocative art could have pushed it over the line. I really like that Selene will be remanded to the Quiet Council on Krakoa.

What is up with Coates? This man is wildly inconsistant...at least the way he's decided to break these issues up has made him seem this way. Captain Americas Angels again take the show, which thanks to Coates is a snooze fest. This issue was as good as the fight scenes I guess, Bob Quinn brings his best draws yet. Coates is trying way too hard with this story and its just a mess for me at this point, especially when an issue like this is considered good for the series.

Really bad. Some of the cringiest dialogue/inner thought bubbles I've read in modern comics. Plot is borderline nonsensical, art is middling at best. I've tried to defend this series since I love Captain America and am a fan of Coates' writing. But Marvel if this isn't a sign to relaunch the title, idk what is. Iron Man got the relaunch, please give Cap the team he deserves.

This entire run has been up it's own ass with fake profundity. Get over yourself, dude.

Thank you Coates for making Cap a support character at best in his own book.
