The Cosmic Ghost Rider is stuck in the past, so he might as well have some fun with the origins of the Marvel Universe, right?! After going back in time and trying to kill Thanos as a baby, Frank Castle has sworn off trying to alter history. But when he arrives in Earth's past at the birth of the Fantastic Four, how can he resist jumping in on the fun?!

I really found this issue very amazing, with many cameos, references to the classic comics of Fantastic Four, Skrulls, trips between galaxies, Uatu and a trip to the heaven directly to a meet with the Creator himself (you will see who is he") It is an unmissable number that meets all expectations, believe me, you will not regret! This is a good time if you want to experience Marvel's history with a twist. It's certainly funny enough and it's entertaining to relive some of the craziest Fantastic Four stories with added crazy man Cosmic Ghost Rider. I'll be picking up the following issues to see how Scheer and Giovannetti put a spin on other important Marvel history. Read Full Review

The biggest question I have for this title is that if Frank actually went back in time to right wrongs, all while acknowleding the fact that his travels created time paradoxes, how will this effect the future and who the man actually will become? Is this perhaps the reason why Cosmic Ghost Rider ends up "destroying" the Marvel Universe as we've known it so far? I can only guess how things will unfold in the next issue of this 3,5 out of 5 surprisingly human little title. Read Full Review

Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys Marvel History #1 wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The story had some amusing parts, but it was just so congested with stuff it ends up feeling overwhelming while you are reading it. The pace of the issue just felt off as it was crammed with so much in one issue. It was just not paced well for all of it. The art is pretty great; I enjoyed the "flashback" scenes that take up most of the issue. It was fun to see Marvel History through a different lens, but I am not sure if I overly enjoyed my experience. Read Full Review

Overall, Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys Marvel History is a bit of a mixed bag. While it starts off on solid footing, with a very interesting premise and some solid art, it becomes all to repetitive by the conclusion of the first issue. I hope the series has other plans other than story time with Old Frank Castle, because while some of the stories are solid, and I chuckled a bit here and there, it all became long winded and boring by the last page. I'm not sure I need more and a one shot would have sufficed just fine. Read Full Review

If it wasn’t obvious already, I’m not recommending this book to anyone. It was always going to live or die by its writing, and it’s just not where it needs to be. Pile on some really unattractive characters, with no captivating scenery to boot, and yeah, this one’s a dud. I just read it for free and I’m still annoyed that I just spent my time on it. A continuity-fudging romp through the history of the Fantastic Four becomes engagingly funny after a shaky start. The creators take a little time to warm up, but once they hit the idea of casting CGR as a storyteller himself, things get golden. I was pleasantly surprised by the visual clarity, and the wisecracking script was (by the end) a delight.

The fact that this character went from a super-fun, super-powerful, and unique character under Donny Cates to basically a Deadpool rip off under Scheer and Giovannetti is just sad. The line between Cosmic Ghost Rider and Deadpool has gotten blurrier and blurrier. The art is mediocre at best and the story itself, which is just Frank running around time and meeting his funny, is mostly unfunny and boring. Nothing is taken seriously and the only funny jokes are anything said by Frank’s son.

I have loved everything Donny Cates has done with his creation, that is the cosmic ghost Rider, but this, ugh, no thanks.

This was just not very good. I wanted to love this because CGR is my precious cosmic son, but it didn’t work at all. There were definitely some okay moments, but on the whole I’m not here for this.

Bleh. I was really worried for this one because I really like Cosmic Ghost Rider and this was the first time Donny Cates wasn't writing him. Plus, the only other comics I've read by these writers were very forgettable fill-in Spider-Man/Deadpool issues. Overall, I think this sucks. It's just too dumb for me. And I really hate that it is actually relevant to Cosmic Ghost Rider's journey and how that makes it important to read. A lot of dumb people that don't understand Frank Castle think that Cosmic Ghost Rider is a betrayal of the character and a Deadpool clone. He's not. If he was, this is the series you'd get. I'm so disappointed.
