Defenders #7 hits with a bullseye. Between the fights, the conflict, and the villains, it is a fantastic read and one of the best single issues Ive read in some time. I cannot recommend this one enough. Pick it up. Read Full Review

It will be a sad day when this book is done way too early. It's a masterpiece in every way. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it certainly reminds everyone the potential there is in what these books are capable of being. If Bendis leaving marks the end of this title, at least keep this art team together for another book. Read Full Review
Defenders #7 continues the series' fantastic run from a creative team working hard to make the best, most consistent comic they possibly can. Read Full Review
Brian Michael Bendis would do this right before he leaves Marvel for DC. I was getting a little bit tired of the storyline in The Defenders and thought, well, with Bendis leaving, that will give somebody else a chance to reinvigorate the series, and then Bendis hooks me back in with the Defenders #7 and has me worried about who has this series after him now. Whatever the story, maybe if David Marquez continues to do art like this, then I will stick with The Defenders for a long time to come, because this issue was absolutely incredible art-wise and everyone needs to pick up this issue just to look at his mesmerizing work! Like all of Bendis' current Marvel titles, The Defenders doesn't seem in any particular hurry to get where it's going, which calls into question whether Bendis can give his story a proper finale when the time comes. But as David Marquez remains the biggest draw with this series, the slow, measured approach certainly has its advantages. Read Full Review
Thank goodness for David Marquez. What could have been a fairly threadbare issue of Defenders is rescued by the fact that the artist executing the book is a freaking beast. Read Full Review
Electra!!
The fight scene between Danny and Elektra is easily the best part of this whole series so far. Not even close. Amazing job by Marquez and Bendis this issue.
Awesome issue. Marquez is an amazing artist. The fight scene looks incredible. Dialogue flows nicely. Well written. The best Marvel series right now.
Wow David Marquez's action panels are just something else. No need for words.
Elektra and Danny have a glorious fight, Diamondback makes a maybe-notable kill, and Deadpool moons somebody. It's a very busy script by Brian Michael Bendis's standards. David Marquez's art is epic. The eight-page Elektra/Iron Fist sequence is a triumph of visual storytelling, complete with clever thematic color-coding by Justin Ponsor and Paul Mounts. The visuals are so strong that I *almost* overlooked the fact that this series has a kitchen-sink "chuck it in" mess of a plot. The humor's a little cheap and the story is absurdly forgettable. As a vehicle for ferrying Mr. Marquez from one memorable spectacle to another, though, this issue's script hums like a well-maintained sports car.
Another solid book by Bendis. Bendis does his best work when he is given his toys and a corner of the playground that he can call his own. This is not my favorite entry in this arc but this comic is still good and worthy of anyone's pull list. I can't help but feel like we didn't need Elektra in this story but it seems like everyone from the Netflix series needed to be in this series so why not? Diamondback is really my favorite character in this book. He has been a wonderful villain and I like that their are so many players and unanswered questions to still explore. My concern is that Bendis won't get around to finishing this book and giving this arc/planned arcs the care they deserve. My hope is that after he is gone someone can keep thismore
Damn, is this one gorgeous book. That Elektra, Iron Fist fight was super sweet. I could probably do without Deadpool, I find him really annoying and he is just too immature for this book. I like that the Punisher is still involved and hope he continues to be a player in this book.
GREAT art. so much attempted humor that you'd think Chipass Zdorki wrote it. one horrible joke after another. decent fight with Iron Fist and Elektra. That's about it. !@#$!#$!$
