As The Grateful Dead sang, this past six issues has been a long, strange trip in which weve seen the foundations of Four lore shaken and transformed. And I think this has been only the intro story for Spyre and The Unparalleled. Speaking as a storyteller myself, I would not have created all this just to spend six issues on it, and I dont think thats what Slott had in mind either. From the looks of things, The Unparalleled are the new Inhumans, and well be returning to this story in months yet to come. Read Full Review
This final installment of the "Point of Origin" saga was truly a great way to end the story, giving all parties closure while also setting up a great new direction for the next arc. Read Full Review
I wish this was a stronger conclusion, I really do. But it was honestly filler with pretty artwork between two bookend sequences that have the possibility to be the start of something interesting. And do you want to know the worst thing about it all? I'm not mad.I'm disappointed. Read Full Review
This was good if a bit predictable. This arc was very uneven, I hope things pick up.
It's not bad. Slot is doing his thing but I hope we kick it back up a notch. Izaakse is great on art as always.
" For years i thought i was to blame ! That i had miscalculated--that i'd put all of our lives in danger ! That i disfugured my best friend ! That it was because of me and those damn cosmic rays--that my wife almost died in childbirth--twice ! And my children--every night i worry--are there more changes coming ?! And i--i don' t know ! Because of you i have failed them-- everyone i love and care about. And not because i was wrong about the shields. But because i never considered--even for a momen--that there'd be someone out there--Like you ! "
- MISTER. FANTASTIC
Sky, you joker.
Seemed like a drawn out story for the ending we got. Could have been better in my opinion.
That one page where Reed gets a rare chance to direct his guilt over creating the FF at someone else is powerful. The "sneak preview" scenes with Wyatt are interesting. And, of course, Sean Izaakse is my favorite of the 700 artists who have worked on this volume. But on balance, the way the Spyre arc wraps up verges on trainwreck territory. It's a nigh-random stew of orphaned plot points.
Very anticlimactic. And I don’t like Sky.
Now Reed was correct all along.
Doom was also proven correct all along IIRC.
So no one is wrong. Everyone is correct.
Why do they had to changed their origin?
Good art to gloss over a mediocre end to what could've been an interesting arc.
I would posit that 'Unmemorable' is a more appropriate name for the Unparalleled and am therefore not thrilled that Sky is tagging along. I live in hope that her character develops during her stay on Earth...
WRAP IT UP DAN
Nooooo she suuuuucks.
