Fantastic Four is the thinking man's superhero comic. Read it for the family aspects, but stay for the clever problem-solving and adventure. Read Full Review
This series Blood Hunt tie-in issues are the best of both worlds. North balances the circumstances created by the larger event with his own stories and accompanying character exploration. The creative team continues to deliver outstanding issues. Fantastic Four #22 wraps up a strong Reed arc in a compelling and personal way. Read Full Review
Only the final couple of pages make clear why Fantastic Four readers should be interested in the events of Blood Hunt, offering a great cliffhanger to a largely forgettable tie-in. Read Full Review
Like the issue before it, this works because, although it’s a tie-in issue, North keeps it totally and thematically in line with the rest of the book.
Honestly the most "fun" I've had with this title since reading the Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo run as a kid.
Another VERY solid tie-in.
Good read over all, art is growing on me or maybe just better done.
I dont know how I feel about all of the story honestly. Like its interesting to have the FF be in the background and not solve a problem in their own book. I cant tell if I like that or it was a waste of money.
A more picky question for other readers: Was the Reed tearing his skin from stretching in character? I mean I get it was established last time that he pushed himself to the limits but Reed's power has been so all over the place with each writer I cant tell if this is actually consistent or not. I suppose this is what we get when Marvels Editors go on record mocking continuity and lore.
Fun issue though. Still held down by the fact more
I'm no fan of the Fantastic Four, I only picked this up because it's a Blood Hunt tie-in, but I'm glad I did. It was interesting and a good tie-in. I dunno if it'll make me want to pick up F4 books moving forward, but I'll at least give them a look and consider it.
