Wolverine/Ghost Rider: Weapons of Vengeance Alpha #1 unites two of Marvel's biggest badasses for a metal, macabre, and menacingly good read. I was hooked from start to finish, and hopefully the rest of the crossover lives up to the promise of this initial issue. Read Full Review

Ghost Rider/Wolverine: Weapons of Vengeance #1 is a solid start to the Weapons of Vengeance story. It is surprising that it took this long for Wolverine and Ghost Rider to have an official event considering Percy is behind both books. With Geoff Shaws art on both series, this is a great opportunity to take Wolverine in a new direction after the Weapons of X story. Overall, this is a great time to jump into these characters. Percy has a good grasp of both Wolverine and Johnny and provides all of the necessary background needed to start jumping into Weapons of Vengence. Read Full Review

Wolverine is my favorite character and Benjamin Percy just gets him. Percy's writing is phenomenal in both the Wolverine and ghost rider books so I had the utmost confidence this was going to be great. Honestly it may have been better than I anticipated! My only problem with this story is I wish they stretched it out a bit longer. However time will tell maybe this is the right amount of issues

Did the world need this crossover? Probably not. Did Marvel let Benjamin Percy have some fun with two of his best characters? You bet. Did we all benefit from that decision? Hell yeah! WOLVERINE/GHOST RIDER WEAPONS OF VENGEANCE ALPHA #1 is a rip-roaring, bike-riding, thrilling badass adventure featuring two characters from Benjamin Percy's current going series on the hunt for a demon wreaking havoc. Readers won't need to be caught up on either character's solo series to enjoy this isolated event. Percy sets the stage by introducing a gruesome murder scene that brings Wolverine and Ghost Rider together to solve and makes it clear that this isn't the first time they've seen this type of horror. The main plot of the issue follows flashback more

A seemingly stand-alone, back to basics, type of crossover event that matches the tone and aesthetic of its characters with a strong central core. I may pick up the rest of this as well for the spooky elements and the artwork!

A fairly strong start to this crossover. I appreciated how much Percy delved into the backstory here before tying things back to the present. I'm interested to see how the story presented here ties in with the tease at the end of Ghost Rider #16, as well.

The creators build a dark, creepy mood and drive up the tension. Wolverine's narration is consistent, cool, and tough. The plot's a little simple, but it unfolds with more than enough style to be entertaining. I like the way the art economizes on detail. Where mood is important, things are rough and heavily shadowed. The artist proves himself capable of shining a light on the characters for key moments of action or emotion, though.

Had a decent enough start. I liked the idea of the kid and it being based off something in the past.
