The only thing bad about the issue coming out means there's only one book left in this top-shelf run. Read Full Review
Cory Smith's art is absolutely brilliant. Every panel is filled with beautiful visuals and the action is amazing. The fight against the Drax clones is legendary and I can't wait to see what Smith does with the upcoming finale of this arc. Read Full Review
Guardians of the Galaxy #11 is a heck of a fun time, with front-to-back action that doesn't forget to include the heart. And don't discount the sheer unadulterated awesomeness that is Rocket Raccoon in a mech suit! Read Full Review
The issue does a good job of setting up the finale, but suffers from the series' dissonant storylines. Read Full Review
The future looks bleak for our heroes, and the concluding issue promises to be epic. It’s a shame that building up to that issue has left this issue feeling a bit of a weak link in this run. However the artwork is, as always, stunning, and well worth the price of admission. And this is essential reading for #12 which promises to make up for the weaker aspects of the Faithless storyline. This was a very quick issue, but very entertaining.
Prelude:
It's the second last issue of both Faithless and Cates' run on Guardians of the Galaxy. Let's see how it goes.
The Good:
Loved Moondragon in this. Cates shows her power and her fragility with Drax.
While Rocket is obviously safe, it is comics and Ewing's Guardians show he's alive, I am interested to see how he gets out of this mess.
Just when you think the rest of the Guardians will be saved for a massive fight next issue, Cates turns the story back around.
The Bad:
I do wonder how they will resolve this in a satisfying way next issue.
Conclusion:
Another great issue of Guardians but I am concerned with how Cates will land this ship in #12.
Oh no Rocket noooo.
" Good... That makes this much easier. "

I'm just not at all invested in the clackety-clack of these Guardians game pieces shuffling across the cosmic chessboard. Pretty art, though.
This issue is great but make no mistake: this was a filler action issue. It was a pretty cool battle but at the end of the day nothing significant happened. Starlord is still captured and The Church still heads to earth. Same as the last two issues. Don't get me wrong this issue is great, but I tore through it in about 2 minutes, probably because of its fast pacing. By the end, I found myself wanting more. Not in the "I gotta know what happens next!" kind of wanting more, but the "Wait, that's all?" kind. Again though, I did enjoy this issue.
